3rd Gen Simple Questions

Okay, here's what you should do: Get a pokemon that knows a paralyzing move like stun spore or thunderwave, you can also use a move like hypnosis or sleep powder, but I prefer paralyzing. Get pokemon that can use not very effective hits on zapdos, you can also use weak pokemon or a pokemon with false swipe. Get zapdos's HP as low as possible and start chucking ultra balls like crazy.
 
should I use a rock type pok?mon for the soft moves? how many ultra balls?

Well, to cathch zapdos, following ill work wonders[No need of 25 ultras, caught a zapdos with just 3 ultras]. GET A HIGH LVL Charizard[Not really that high..55-57],Have a hypno...Or drowzee at any level.
Keep dr?hypno at first, USe Hypnosis right away..YEs, Zapdos will most liekly detect your move or paralyse you but try hypnotising it..Will work in just 1 or 2 moves if you are lucky [:p].. then switch to charizard, Use Mega punch or kick[If you have taught it yet that is], then flame thrower next.. and use teh ultra ball third or just switch to hypno[ as you wish].. If its caught.. you are extremely lucky..[Like my fren] If not, just use hypnosis agian[another attack means you will faint it] an try using 1 great ball tehn 2 ultras..It shouuld be caught by at least one.[I have tried it 3 times and got success each time].
Anotehr method:
USe a lvl 30-40 raichu and use shockwave...and a hypno or just thunderwave teh zapdos to paralise it and use ultras...should be easy.
 
why dont him just u just paralyse it then lower to red health then start chucking balls?

Lol, so you are going back to school as well,Hope you have got less vacations works to submit than me, i have got tons but have done nothing....:(
 
Just lower Zapdos's HP, give it paralysis/freeze/sleep, and it should be a little easier to catch. I'd have at least 25-35 ultra balls, as legendaries like to be *****y, even when they're asleep. Follow this pattern for all legendaries/hard to catch things and you'll succeed in Pokemon life.


*** lol, recalls time he use Critical Hit thunderbolt on Articuno, paralyzed it, and caught it with one Ultra Ball.
 
Can raikou, suicune, entei be caught in FR/LG? If so, what do I have to do to get them to run away, like in GSC?

Once you've beaten the Elite 4, you can find one of them randomly anywhere in Kanto (not on the islands). Which one you get depends on which starter you picked:

Bulbasaur = Entei
Charmander = Suicune
Squirtle = Raikou

And why would you want to get them to run away?? :\

Thanks (yay Suicune!). And when I said "run away" I meant like in GSC you go into that building and scare them off so that you can encounter them in the wild.
 
cool u can scare legendary dogs in GSC i wanna get one these old versions
 
You don't scare them, you wake them up and make them angry at you... and in Crystal version, Suicune comes and attacks you for a second then runs off. =P
 
I know that (were you talking to me?). Crystal version is my favorite of all of my pokemon games. And Suicune is in my top ten favorite pokemon. *huggles Suicune*
