3rd Gen Simple Questions

Mods can merge and delete posts, but I don't think they can move specific posts.

About the Hitmon problem, use vitamins to try and increase the stats. If you use one too many or something, just reset and try again. Eventually, you should use the correct amount of vitamins, and fight the right Pokemon, so that the stats will be either equal, or just lower/higher than equal. Hitmontop is the hardest to get out of all of them. :/
 
Where can I get a magmar...?
 
Magmar can be found in Mt. Ember, and in Leaf Green only.

As for the Effort Ribbon, I have no idea. But, if you trade it over to RuSa, just go to Slateport and to the woman near the Energy Guru, and she'll give you one if you've maxed out the EVs.
 
KaeL magmar is only on LG and electabuzz is only on FR and you get magmar on mt.ember ob LG
 
Only have 1 gameboy and dont have any other pokemon games. Hoped there was a way in firered to know when ive maxed out my EV's.
 
Hmm, My brother has Lg, and hes lookin for a magmar. He cant find one, its been like 2 hourz. Is there a specific spot where u get him? Inside the mt? Outside it? Certain grass?
 
Magmar is found only INSIDE the mountain from my knowledge. Walk around the grass and one will eventually come up.
 
I just found him in the grass outside the cave. Now i have all the baby pokemon except baby maril. Man i love breeding. :D

You get rock smash on Island 1. Go east and surf to the north. Now make your way north, and past the two blackbelts( they are pacing back and forth) go into the cave. Talk to the old man standing on the rocks, and he'll give you rock smash.
 
Thunder Lapras

Without using a TM, how can I breed a lapras that knows Thunder?

You mean use a lapras FOR breeding to breed more, or one to create?

Do you have Fire Red, or Leaf green?
 
if your trying to get a lapras with thunder by breeding it i diont thing its possible,you have to use the TM,you can buy more anyways.
 
If you have leaf green, you need a Male Pikachu than knows thunder and a female Marill. Now, breed the two and when the egg hatches, hope that a male hatches out. If it IS a male, the marill will know thunder. Now breed this marill with a female lapras and you'll have a lapras that knows thunder.

It may be complicated, but my friend tried it before and it worked.
