Elite Four

Can anyone tell me of a good team for beating the elite four in fire red?

FYI I can't trade to R/S/E and I have no friends that have Leaf Green
 
I won't give you a good team, but I will tell you what you need. Fire/Fighting-type moves will get you past Lorelei. Water/Ground/Psychic/Flying-types gets you past Bruno. Ghost/Dark-type moves do in Agatha. Ice/Electric-types plow through Lance. For Gary, it depends on your starter. Basically you need a combo of Rock/Electric/Ground/Ice/Water. If you go back a few pages, I broke down each opponent of the E4 and what to use against it, but I am too busy/lazy to re-write it. Good luck.
 
does anyone here knw a good HM slave i really need one and any HM slaves which also know pickup ability E.g zigzagoon in RSE
 
The only Pokes with the Pickup Ability are Linoone, Meowth, Phanpy, Teddiursa, and Zigzagoon. The best HM slave of the group is Linoone. I can learn Cut, Rock Smash, Strength, and Surf.
 
Hello, I just restarted my FR game and I traded over a torchic to my game from a completed LG. I cant evolve Torchic whenever it tries to evolve it says ...? and stops it, is there anything i can do to get this thing evolved?
 
That is because you don't have the National Pokedex, which you cannot obtain until much later in the game. Quite frankly, I am a bit surprised that it allowed you to trade Torchic in the first place. Usually, in FRLG, you can only use RBY Pokes until you have the NP.
 
Once Mewtwo has been caught in FireRed, is that the end or is there anything else to do besides battle the Elite Four again & evolving Pokemon etc?

My sister is still having the problem that you gave the answer to above, Smarties-kun. However, she has LF (not FR), and there is a man standing in front of the door. Would you happen to know how to get him to move? Others said she was in the wrong place, but I checked according to your description of the area. She's at the rock with the door in Ruin Valley, but the only difference from your description is the fact that a scientist is standing in the way. That's the only problem my sister is having- getting that man to move XD! Do you (or anyone else, for that matter), know how to get him to move? I apologize if I'm being a burden with these questions.

A decent HM Slave is Sandshrew/Sandslash. Not only can they learn Cut, Strength and Rock Smash, but you can also give them Dig as well. TM or breed Dig though, cos they don't learn it naturally. For Pickup, try Meowth for that (can learn Cut and Flash HMs as well). Pretty much all flying types can get Fly and pretty much all water types can get Surf. I usually HM my water starter on whatever game I get because they can usually learn the other HM moves as well as Surf (Dive, Waterfall), and I make sure they are female cos I can then breed for a competitive one. Besides, the water starters generally have good stats behind them.
 
Dive is a HM right (I think so but aren't sure, I do have Sapphire that has dive.) Can it be found on Fire Red?

Plus can anyone tell me why I can't breed my Togetic? I read that it can't breed & think it's right because the man at the day care centre says they prefer to play with other Pokemon. Even Pokemon who don't like each other breed & even rares such as Snorlax (only 2 in whole game & I got two baby Snorlax's breeding in case people want to trade) so why not Togetic? :(
 
Togetic can only breed with a Ditto.

You cannot get Espeon or Umbreon in FRLG. You have to trade Eevee to RSE, evolve it into Espy/Umbry, and then trade back to FRLG.

That is incorrect. If it can only breed with Ditto, then how come it has egg moves? -_-

Togetic belongs to the two egg groups flying and fairy, both fairly common egg groups, so finding a Pokémon that can breed with Togetic (Pidgey for example) shouldn't be too hard.
 
Make sure it's evolved. Togepi won't breed, cos it's a baby. Otherwise, Togetic can breed.

Check the Breeders Corner for egg moves they can learn.
 
Thanks for the correction, Smarties. I got Togetic and Togepi mixed up. I apologize for the wrong info. Here are the Egg Moves Togepi can learn:

Foresight
Future Sight
Mirror Move
Peck
Present
Psych Up

I tried with Ditto but prefer to play with other Pokemon. When the man says this (this question for everyone) does it mean they won't breed?

It is evolved too. I like the idea that when breeding, they can learn moves they won't learn in level growing. :) Mirror Move sounds good but rest aren't that good...

I'll try with a bird type, will my Skarmory do, then it could Steel Wing won't it? Clear this up for me someone. Cheers!

P.S. Can someone still tell me if HM Dive is on Fire Red?

no dive isn't in fire red all the HM's except that cause it will take a long time to put loads of dive patchs and it will mess up the story line
 
Don't see how it'd mess the storyline, just put them for certain Pokemon to be & caught....that's what I think. Cheers.
