hi, im trying to trade my pokemon from my blue version over to my gold version, but every time i try to do this, the gold version says "your friend is not ready." and a few seconds later, the blue version says "the link has been closed because of inactivity." This happens after the games recognize that there is a link cable attached because it goes all the way to the point where it asks me to save, then afterwards it does this. I think it must have something to do with the gold version, because it doesnt seem to recognize the cable while the blue does, but im not sure.
I know that its not the link cable, ive tried 3 so far all with the same results. I was wondering if you all know of a way to fix this. Thanks a lot.


Also, if im playing gold on my gba, do i have to use the game boy color gameshark or can i use a game boy advanced one?

To trade between Gold and Blue you need to meet a few requirements
  • Activate the Time Capsule in Gold
  • The Pokemon on your team are from the RBY Generation only
  • The Pokemon from the RBY Generation don't have moves that are new to GSC
I think you need the Gameboy link to trade as well. Also the requirements apply to Sliver and Crystal as well.
 
i meet every one of those requirements.

Are you saying i must use a gameboy link cable instead of a gameboy advanced one? and if thats true, can i still connect that to 2 game boy advances?
 
Sorry for double posting, but does any1 else have any ideas? I think it may be that i need a gameboy color chord, but im not sure. Anyone have any experience with using a gameboy advanced chord for pokemon gold/silver/red/blue?
 
How do you get the other wing in Crystal? I can't remember which one, but the old man in Pewter gives me one of the wings (I think he gives me the Silver wing) where is the other one? And, once you get the Rainbow wing, does that unlock Ho-oh? (I mean, does it make some stairs appear in the Tin tower or something?)

In order to get the Rainbow Wing in Crystal you must have beat the Elite 4 and captured Entei, Raikou and Suicune. {No trading}. Then the monks guarding the tin tower will give you the Rainbow Wing and let you go into Tin Tower.

There is no "best" starter, but Cyndaquil will probably make the game easiest for you. Chikorita is also quite good near the end of the game, but it's a little hard to get through the first couple Gyms unless you catch something like a Pidgey.

in red, ive gone behind the ss anne, becoz i traded from my yellow version and got all the poke's with the hms first. ive found some sort of truck. Ive been told that is where u can find mew without cheating. WHAT DO U DO WHEN U GET TO THE TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my m8 says use strength, but i dont know here. HELP!!!!!

You can't get Mew that way. The only was to get Mew without cheating or going to a Nintendo Event is to use the Mew glitch. The steps to use the Mew Glitch can be gotten *image removed*.
 
Can you obtain pokerus on red blue and yellow?
If so how do you get it?

well , i know that crystal is a crappy game, but making it as hard as that? havin to catch all the LegiDogs in the wild and then u can catch Ho-Oh? What a freakin rip! BTW, Who's that bloke in B/R/Y who says 'ERIK: Where's SARA? I sad I'd meet her here.' is there an alternate 'mission' or something?

Alrighty, I have a question. Does the weird radio station that plays in the Ruins of Alph serve any purpose in any of the games? I particulary want to know this for Crystal, since I haven't played Crystal in ages and don't remember if it does anything. I don't think it really serves a purpose in Gold or Silver, or if it does I haven't figured it out. Does anyone know?
 
Shinies...what is the easiest way to get them? (Otherwise than linkcable)

I heard that if you breed, it has a %50 chance....
