Sinnoh Journey Journal v.2 - Share your travelling stories

I'm almost done with defeating team galatic and catching Palkia. What was the point of changing the teams in these games? Team Rocket are my bff
 
I got my American copy of platinum last saturday.
And I haven't updated..
But, Here's my Progress.

I have Five Badges..
I just beat wake today. Damn that Floatzel and Ice Fang.
I'm currently headed to celestic town..

My team is

I just beat the E4 today and cynthia was a little harder than in diamond but i beat her anyway My garchomp had to clean all the messes that were created (my other pokemon that couldnt kill hers) i got to the battle frontier and im just exploring now

Uxie, Weavile, Infernape, Magnezone, Ambipom, and Tropius enter Pokemon League.
Defeated Aaron, Bertha, Flint, and Lucian.

Initiated battle with Cynthia.
Used Stealth Rock and Yawn on Spiritomb after it had given me trouble with its X Wind attacks.
Switched into Weavile.
Weavile used Swords Dance x2
Weavile used Night Slash on Spiritomb (2HKO).
Weavile beats Garchomp, Lucario, Roserade, and Togekiss with Ice Punch and Brich Break.
Magnezone uses Discharge on Milotic.
Cynthia used Full Restore.
Milotic beats Magnezone.
Switch in Ambipom. Ambipom used Tickle on Milotic, and is KO'd.
Switched in Infernape. Used Close Combat.

Lucas recorded into the Pokemon Hall of Fame.

Entered Battle Frontier. Defeated Dahlia 21x.
Befriended Mareep and Electrike.
Mareep evolved into Flaafy.
Electrike evolved into Manectric.
Manectric learned Thunderbolt, Overheat, Signal Beam, and Hidden Power.
 
After destorying Maylene in a fair 3-on-3 battle

Monferno 35 vs Lucario

I starting traing my team to lvl 40 for Wake then I fairly fought 3-on-3 with him

Gallade (Leaf Blade) vs Quagsire
Leafeon vs Floatzel

Now I'm headed for Baron's gym after I train my team to 50 and hatch Riolu for Frontier purposes cuz I don't really want a Lucario at the moment.
 
Platinum Journal:

Today, I battled against the gym leaders and Riley, who happened to be in the house in the Survival Area. I traveled to Mt. Coronet to the lake, seeking out Feebas. I was about to give up, when one finally appeared!
 
Finally after four days of trying to find time to play I got started with Platinum. In less than 24 hours:

My Take On the Video Game So Far:

I beat Roark just with my Monferno. I had a lot of pokemon but did not need them. I am currently on my way to Floraroma Town, then to Eterna City to that Gym.

My Current Team:

Geodude, LVL 7, Modest
Shinx, LVL 7, Calm
Budew, LVL 11, Docile
Starly, LVL 10, Calm <--- Want to Evolve Real Soon So I am Focused on Him
Monferno, LVL 18, Serious He is ready to kick Gardenia's Booty. :)
 
I went all the way around the island and took on Candice, Fantina, and Cheryl in the Top Trainer Cafe. they werent that hard but i love the high exp. points ;) now im raising some pokemon to take on the frontier brains
 
Today I took o break from my Lotad run on Diamond and started my new fight run on pearl
 
I've just failed at beating Fantina so I'm going to evolve my Buizel into Floatzel and get crunch then destroy her french a...

Flew to Resort Area. (Upping my Magikarp Ranking)
Used Surf at Resort Area. (New Fishing spot)
Caught Magikarp (DAY). (x2. Beat my own record twice. Lv.73 + Lv.81)

I've traded all of my Pokemon to Diamond for the Exp boost and easier E4. I plan on training them until they're strong enough to take on Platinum's enhanced E4. So my my new team is:

Lucario lvl 67
Tyranitar lvl 63
Infernape lvl 64
Empoleon lvl 62
Alakazam lvl 61
Piccolo lvl 61

I took Lucario, T-Tar and Infernape to the Battle Tower and we were kicking butt and taking names. Before I knew it, we had come face to face with the Tower Tycoon himself: Palmer. By himself, Lucario effortlessly defeated his first two Pokemon, but Milotic came and him and KOed my beloved jackal. I knew it wouldn't survive, but I sent out Infernape, who took out a good chunk of Milo's HP with a singl Close Combat before falling victim to her Hydro Pump. I sent out my last Pokemon, T-Tar, with a grin on my face. T-Tar just happened to be EV trained, so Milotic didn't stand a chance. And so marks my first victory against any type of Frontier building.

Pokemon recently received in trades: Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Mewtwo, Lugia, Suicune, Cyndaquil, Eevee, Dratini (last six are shiny).

In Platinum news, I've been catching random Pokemon and must have run into a roaming legendary ten times today (without trying). Oh how I wish I had masterballs.
 
I've played pretty sparingly the past two weeks. I only really played much today, about an hour where I got through Eterna Forest and ran to get the Exp. Share, so I can train my Magikarp a bit faster - she's at level 18. It's frustrating, especially since my Monferno, Luxio, and Onix have each gained at least three levels since I started training it. Sigh. I hope to get it evolved tonight. I may even try to get past Gardenia tonight, who knows.
 
Yesterday in Platinum, I went to go catch Dialga and Palkia, got them both to Low Yellow HP and caught both with my first Poké Ball, I threw. Thank god, for their 30 catch rate. I also caught Giratina with a Poké Ball.

The legendaries I've caught are Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mesprit, Azelf, Uxie, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regigigas, Heatran, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina in the wild. Only one I really have left that isn't an event is Cresselia.

I just got my Latias to Lv. 100 too. I'm liking Platinum WAY MORE than Diamond and Pearl. Also, thanks to every Pokémon having a Foreign Dex entry and the GTS letting you be specific, I have some Pokémon with a bunch of languages, prime example: Sceptile. English, German, French, Japanese.

I've had the game for 2 whole days, this being the third. I've already beaten most of it.

Just got through Distortion World (which was easy with a YouTube walkthrough ^^). I killed Giratina (I saved, but I didn't feel like bothering catch it *shot*)

Training up my team to take on Volkner right now... I'm counting on my Leafeon and his electric resist and ownsome attack to kick Volkner's butt... but I can't be sure. Leafeon's special defense is his worst stat.
