Just restarted my game again so iam just now about to leave eterna city after saving the bike shop owner from the pesky team galactic. I went back and trained somemore in the forest, and i caught a murkrow just for fun ^^

My team at the moment is..

Voltu (lvl 21 Luxio)
Rooton (lvl 21 Grotle)
Windril (lvl 21 Staravia)

and Twat (My poor Bidoof slave)

I got the Power Anklet last night so that's gonna help me bundles with EV training

I also figured out how Roseria evolved so I did

i found out that none of my pokemon evolved also insteadof always postin my team change i'll edit so look every now and again

You could always quote your own post.. that way people can see the differences in your team

Today's swarm Pokemon was Nosepass, which I already have 3 of, so I wasn't interested in them. I'm hoping for something like Absol tomorrow

I caught another Eevee btw

I've been IV breeding Duskulls for the last couple of days, but I have yet to obtain a triple - or even double flawless Duskull from any of the eggs, but I won't give up; after getting triple Explosioned and swept by a Trick Roomed Machamp yesterday, I'm very motivated to keep breeding.

Delibird is swarming today, and since I have no interest on it, I just kept breeding Riolus. The parent is decent, so I'm hoping for a nice and almost flawless Lucario to EV train.

I'm also leveling up my Staraptor, trying to obtain a perfect moveset.

lol, that would be luckCHARMS...:) I lost to him 3 times before beating him 2 times in a row. His Machamp is easy to cripple with a Bronzong. :) I just added it and a Rhyperior with Hammer Arm and he was gone. Here is the Bronzong I used:

Bronzong@Lagging tail (To underspeed everything, with 63 Speed at lv 100)
Relaxed
252 Hp, 152 Atk, 8 Def, 98 Sp. Def
0 IV's in Speed = 63 Speed @ lv 100 + Lagging Tail = o.0;

Trick Room
Explosion
Imprison
Gyro Ball

Very helpful against him, just so you know. :) (lucky will hate me now...lol)

Yes, I figured Bronzong would do the trick, but I'm not making a team designed to counter another person's team just to beat them; I'm making myself a balanced team and Dusknoir and Donphan are two Pokémon I decided I'll use on my next team ages ago. I know what kind of Pokémon could easily mess up his strategy, but I won't resort to dirty tricks like training a team to counter his. I have my honor. I just wish I would have decided to use Bronzong instead of Metagross in that battle because I have a triple flawless HP / Def / SDef Bronzong fully EV trained, but I replaced it with Metagross because otherwise I would have had two physical walls with a sleeping move.

The good thing with getting beaten by luckyCharms is that now I know exactly how bad Trick Room beats me.

I threw in a few slower Pokemon like Rhyperior and Suicune to deal with charms. Actually, he seemed to have more trouble with Dragonite (sub-punching bolt-beamer).

As for what I've done today, been building up my Pokedex. I'm up to 485 seen, 474 obtained, so I've nearly completed all the legal Pokemon I can get. Just finished levelling up Electrode, and I'm gonna work on Drowzee next. I have the few to get for my Dex:
Lanturn, Slowbro, Hypno, Altaria, Grumpig, Scizor, Shuckle, Gliscor, Seadra, Magby, Ursaring, Donphan, Pupitar, Linoone, Breloom (holding out for Spore), Hariyama.

Pokemon Pearl Journal: Neon Colosseum

Sorry it's been awhile since I updated my journey. (Like anyone really noticed or cared, right?)

So for the last few weeks, I've been training my latest group of pokemon here and there, although admittedly other video games have been diverting my attention. I've also had a lot of other fun stuff going on, like my birthday and a weekend trip to Washington, DC.

September 30, 2007

I got back from DC late in the evening, but I wanted to rotate some of my pokemon. I was a little upset that I missed the Manaphy event at Toys R Us, and it made me realize how far behind I really am in my pokemon journey. Three badges in five months. Par for the course for me, but I need to focus on getting another gym badge. So, Lopunny, Sudowoodo, Onix, and Wormadam are getting a break. I kept Wooper and Mime Jr with me, since they have a lot of growing to do. Then I had Roselia, Dustox, Shieldon, and Kricketune transferred to my lineup. I focused on training Mime Jr and Wooper initially to get them stronger.

October 1, 2007

I decided to test the metal of this group in a Poketopia stadium Challenge. My stats in Poketopia are as follows:

Gateway Colosseum: Rank 4

Main Street Colosseum: Rank 3

Waterfall Colosseum: Rank 3

Neon & Crystal Colosseums: (Available, not yet entered)

The Neon Colosseum has strange rules. The six pokemon that you have along with the six pokemon of your opponent all have their pictures placed on a spinning dartboard. Then, each of you alternate throwing a dart to determine which four pokemon you take into the double battle. Luck plays a big part of these battles. So I entered the competition - and lost. Determined not to be defeated, I entered again...

Only to lose a second time. My rank went down to 1 for this colosseum. I attribute some of it to bad luck of type match-ups, but my team could use a little more training as well.

October 2, 2007

I got up early and did a little training before work. I took Wooper, Mime Jr, Roselia, Dustox, Sheildon, and Kricketune for some more training. Before heading back to the Pokemon Center, my Wooper evolved into a Quagsire!

83. Quagsire

October 3, 2007

Now that I have a tough new Quagsire, I thought I'd try the Neon Colosseum again. Unfortunately, Quagsire often ended up being picked by my opponent, but at least I knew how to counter it. I fought through all the battles, finishing with a final battle where I was left with only my Dustox versus three of my opponent's pokemon. Dustox came through for me, and I beat the Neon Colosseum. The experience also helped my Mime Jr to evolve into Mr Mime!

84. Mr Mime

Now, it's high time I get ready for the Pastoria Gym and my fourth badge!

Pokemon Pearl Journal

October 4, 2007

I stopped in the Pastoria City Gym to see what I would be up against. There were a fair amount of trainers there looking for a battle, and I was happy to oblige. It gave a lot of experience to the team I plan on using for the gym leader battle. After some gruesome training, I took Quagsire, Mr Mime, and Roselia to the Pokemon Center to rest. I gave them each some berries to hold to help them in the upcoming battle. Here's the specifics:

Quagsire (Lv 26) - Persim Berry

Mr Mime (Lv 23) - Sitrus Berry

Roselia (Lv 24) - Lum Berry

I never check to see what pokemon gym leaders use ahead of time, so I wonder what I'm in for.

...I have half of them if you want to trade

I haven't done much lately. Basically I've been trying to chain the swarm Pokemon and had a couple more good runs in the Battle Tower. Highest chain in the past few days has been 5 Rhydons

well, i just finished EV training up my nincada, now i'm going to work on it's next stat

Hehe, well I have to tell this story!

I wanted a calm natured Mr. Mime but the everstone trick never works for me so I have to do it the long way.
Anyway, I hatched about 200 eggs and I got a shiny Mr. Mime before I got one with a calm nature
That is the luckiest thing I've ever had happen to me. That Mr. Mime is my first 1/8192 shiny.

I've been trying to beat the Elite 4 for the past week or so and I keep losing to Cynthia. So now I'm out trying to find good place to train my team to level them up so I won't get pummeled so bad and hopefully have a fighting chance.

So, where's a good place to gain lots of experience in a short amount of time?
