How would he fare in competitive battling?

I've always wanted him on my team... maybe for his ability?

Anyway, does anyone have a good moveset/ev spread for Skuntank?

Crunch/Night Slash
Poison Jab
Shadow Claw/Fire Blast
Substitute
EV:252 HP/180 ATK/72 SPD

Its SP.ATK is low, unfortunately, it learns many good SP.moves. Shame.

Its defenses are low, making it an OHKO on EQ, a shame, really. At least it can take advantage of Substitute.

This is walled by Steel types. Fire Blast could help, but don't expect miracles. At least it goes out with a bang.

164 SP ATK/116 ATK/228 HP
-Crunch
-Flamethrower
-Explosion/Taunt
-Substitute

this thing was made to die, and DIE HARD. Leftovers + taunt is the other side of him you can use, but from my experience, using him as a death machine with life orb is way more effective.

i also like other usages like Endure + Custap Berry + Explosion so that garchomp/gyara and the like don't sweep your team. skuntank is really fun in that aspect.

I use this novelty set on my Shiny Skuntank(Though it has Quiet Nature and Stench DX):

In all cases, though, standards are better.

Actually Life Orb plus 164 EV's and Rash Nature is enough for the SAtk...
