I dont know if there is a question thread but never mind that now.

i was playing against my friend with my Gengar deck when i noticed the ability to spam sleeping moves. i would use haunters Hypnosis to put the defending pokemon to sleep. they cant attack or retreat correct? so if they get tails i would simply use nightmare and deal a heavty amount of damage, BUT if he got heads at the end of their turn and woke up i would use hypnosis again.

is there a rule regarding the continual spam of status moves?

The continuous spam of status moves is lulzy. It's too easy to remove the conditions and too easy to inflict them. It's legal, but the 'spam of status moves' isn't all that good. Think about this; Haunter has a two-turn attack that has a 50% chance of preventing your opponent's attack and a 25% chance of doing any damage. Bad card? Luckily, it has free retreat, so you can move it out of the active ASAP ^.^

Hypnosis causes sleep without a coin toss, thats attacking prevented.

if they wake their pokemon up at the end of their turn then i use hypnosis again.

ill keep repeating until they land a tail and their pokemon continues to sleep.
then use dream eater. and keep repeating.

thats what i mean, its like a loop.
