Snakes?

I don't have any snakes, and if I did want to get one, I probably wouldn't be allowed to [I have four cats and a dog]

They look really cool, but it had to be sad when the one that you saved died :(

Oh, I was heartbroken..it sucked so bad. ><;

I do, but I don't know how to put pictures on the internet right now, and I'm on my lap top so maybe I'll post soe later. I haven't really taken pictures of her in over two years. Last time I did it she was behind a glass with my cat on the other side going crazy. The little fluff ball would strike at Bob's head, with barely an inch of glass between, and Bob just stood her ground, looking bored.

Hahaha XD Sounds like an interesting snake.

I certainly like to think she's one of a kind, but then again I might have a big ego. >_< She's really odd though. Whenever she's pressed against the glass of her tanks, staring at me, I take my hand and open and close it. She'll copy the gesture sometimes with her mouth and I'm not sure if she wants to eat me... >_>

Anyway, I'm really sorry about all that you went through, especially with Petco. That's actually a place I want to get my next snake because I want to save a life. The little pythons are just adorable.

Haha XD Zuko will come out of hiding and strike at the glass if I walk over to it. He's quite the nasty little thing.
Yeah, it's been hard. I'm glad that everyone's doing okay now. *knocks on wood* If you do get a python from Petco, I'd take it straight to a vet, even if they say they had a vet look at it that very day. :/

Definitely, but as I'm still living at home and only got Bob behind my moms back, a new one isn't coming for a while. T_T

I really wish that my parents/sisters would let me get a snake, they are so cool, and it seems like they can be really fun! I don't know where I could put one, though, if I am able to convince my parents ^_^;;;

Eep. o.o; Good luck, I'm sure it'll happen sooner than you think :3

They can be ^^ If you do get one, make sure you look up how big of a tank it'll need when its an adult, that'll help figure out where you have room. :3

I really don't want to own any. But I like to hold one, not the poisonous copperhead or spitting cobra and such, but boas are cool. But since one wild boa ate one of my baby duck hawks, I developed some hatred to it....

I've held some red-tailed boas, and even an Argentine boa once. They're pretty cool.

Cool, but once they've got hold of you(or changed their minds), you'll be squished to salami in no time. That's what happened to one of my birds, it was horrifying. Imagine 70 kilograms per square inch of pressure applied to your body.

That's true, but there's several ways to get them to let go. Still, I'd never handle one alone, that's asking for trouble.

Ehh... never handled a snake before, but I really want to. I'm not afraid of snakes at all, but I have arachnophobia, so it's spiders I hate. I want a little snake because the small ones are really quite cute. Having a snake hang around your shoulders must be an awesome feeling.

It is a cool feeling ^^ Only thing is, with the stronger species, when they squeeze even just to hold on, it can get a little hard to breathe. Moeru did that once, but I came out of it fine and he didn't mean anything by it. If he had, there would've been a problem. It wasn't bad. :3

But still, the thing I like serpents are it's flexibility, adaptability and speed. If you had seen the NatGeo's documentary about it, you'll know what I mean. b( ")b

I've only ever been hurt by a snake once, when Zuko became aggressive and bit me (6 nice little holes in my hand XD). But jeez, cats are like..bi polar. You're petting them, they're purring, everyone's happy...then next thing you know, they're clawing/biting into your arm. XD

That is a cat's way of playing, apparently. An annoying way of playing, but nevertheless playing. Still, though, my cat is very cute (he's only six months:D) and very active, so I can always play with him anytime I like. Though a snake as a pet would be very amazing.

Cats aren't really my thing, but I love my cats. :3
They are pretty cool pets. The local elementary school actually wanted me to bring Moeru in and do a presentation for the 4th grade on snakes. They couldn't fit it into their schedule though :/

Snakes are cool, but I don't like to feed them mice and stuff. xD

So I don't have one, but when I'm at someone's house that has one, I always want to see it and stuff. ;D

I had a hard time with the thought, too. But since the mice we feed our's are already dead, its not that bad.

Snakes are cool and cute. I would pet an Anaconda. I had baby Philippine Snake in my backyard.

I went to a zoo a few years ago and was quite disappointed by their reptile exhibit. In other exhibits, they had white tigers, lions, zebras, baboons... you go into the reptile place, all they have for snakes are ball pythons and corn snakes. It was very disappointing, you can go to a petstore to see those for free. :/ I wish they had had an anaconda.

I really like Snakes, but my mom refuses to let me get one as a pet because thy are quote "slimy, gross, evil creatures," which is sad because none of that is true.

I have a geck though, just barely was I able to get him. -.- Parents.
