Snakes?

I really like Snakes, but my mom refuses to let me get one as a pet because thy are quote "slimy, gross, evil creatures," which is sad because none of that is true.

I have a geck though, just barely was I able to get him. -.- Parents.

Its sad that people think that way, isn't it? :/

I had the same initial thoughts, but its really not that bad. The mice are already dead, killed humanely, so you don't have to see a struggling squealing mouse. I love mice, but have no problem feeding them to my snakes. Afterall, they need to eat them to survive. Its really no different than people eating porkchops.

I've seen people who are dead afraid of snakes. Don't know why, apart from the venom. It's hard to deal with one anyways. They are better off in the wild.

Not all snakes are venomous, so I don't know what peoples' excuse is to be afraid of the harmless ones. :3 Moeru is thriving in captivity. He's doing very well for himself, since he was captive bred.

I'd love to keep one. It's just that the rest of my family dislike/fear snakes. I daresay if I had a pet snake, we wouldn't have all these troublesome rats anymore.

I've held snakes before and I really think they're cool animals^^ Though i'm not really a pet person, so no snakes for me.

p.s: sorry for the unfortunate deaths of your snakes but Zuko and Sokka are awesome^^

They are ^^ I think they're one of the coolest out there.
Thanks..its too bad that the other 4 didn't make it. I will admit though, I like Moeru better than Zuko and Sokka..XD; I'm a horrible person, so I play favorites.
