4th Gen So changing time on the DS clock doesn't affect Honey trap...

I tried it too when I imported... I figured it didn't work so I quit. I just waited it out! I don't know how the game knows! It has A SUPER human computer inside it or something!

Usually it only takes 8 hours not 12...
 
I'd venture to guess the DS keeps track of a "number of days passed" value which is independent of the clock. This is just speculation, however, but it would explain the behaviour of honey trees and Drifloon.
 
I believe there is some sort of "clock" or battery in the DS cart itself. Otherwise, it's in the programming. I too have tried to "change the time" to make the day a different time, but that doesnt seem to affect day events ingame.
