    I'm ready to evolve my player Eevee in Mystery Dungeon Explorers of the Sky. I've been heavily debating which Eeveelution I should work with. My partner just evolved into a Lucario, so I'm wondering what the best combo with him would be.

    Karakusk (Lucario) knows Aura Sphere, Bite, Force Palm, and Extremespeed. I was thinking of swapping out Force Palm for Earthquake or some other STAB move (if STAB applies in PMD, I'm not sure..). If I do, I'm wary about getting Jolteon or Flareon as my evolution. If I decide not to let him forget, I may get Jolteon since it can learn Discharge later on. One-room moves are great, so that's why I want one these two to learn one.

    However, I'm just curious...what Eeveelution is best paired with a Lucario that knows Earthquake or doesn't know Earthquake?

    Earthquake isn't STAB'd on Lucario. XD;
    Lucario is Fight/Steel and Earthquake is a Ground type move..

    Yes, STAB applies in all three of the PMD games.
    I personally suggest a Jolteon with Magnet Rise.
    If you decide to teach Lucario Earthquake then Jolteon can just use Magnet Rise to avoid getting hit. XD;
    Since you want Discharge then it's a good option to go with.

    But I think you have to hack to get Magnet Rise.. I'm not sure honestly.

    I suggest Espeon. Espeon has Psychic to counter any Fighting-type Pokemon that could do serious damage to Lucario (Lucario has a 2x weakness to Fighting moves)
    However, it would then be a bad idea to teach Lucario Earthquake since Espeon has low Defense....

    Oh, and that Bite on Lucario should probably be replaced with Dark Pulse or Dragon Pulse.

    Yeah Lucario needs Dark Pulse ;)
    And as TRC mentioned Jolteon with that attack combination would be awesome if you want Lucario to have Eartquake ;)

    After futher research, it turns out EQ has a mere 52 accuracy while Discharge has a much better(for Mystery Dungeon, anyway) 70 accuracy. EQ, considering that it does the same amount of damage as Discharge but has much lower accuracy as well as the fact that you'd have to teach Jolteon Magnet Rise just to avoid it(and that's not including the rest of your team, who will probably still take damage from it), one should question wether or not you really need it on Lucario. The only time I can see when EQ would come in handy would be when a Pokemon in a dungeon has Lightningrod.

    ....................

    All in all, Discharge easily does the job EQ would do and more. Some better attacks:

    Stone Edge-has pretty high Accuracy for Mystery Dungeon moves and is one of the better Rock-type moves damage wise.

    Close Combat-a really good Fighting move! with good Accuracy, good power(better than Focus Punch, even!) and okay PP, this move on Lucario is a deadly weapon!

    Dragon Pulse-Eh, not as good as it is in the main series, but oh well. Okay power, coverage against Dragons(especially one that laugh at EQ)good accuracy, and decent PP all make this a well-rounded move.

    Me First- A Normal attack that can't be beat! It copies any move that the foe uses and send it back at the user at 1.5 times the power, all before the attacker can do a thing!

    Psychic-does really good damage to any Fighting Pokemon, as well as having really good accuracy(It has 18 power, which is actually pretty good.)
