4th Gen So far, HeartGold and SoulSilver seem horrible.

    What the crap is wrong with Game Freak? They've taken several key features out of these games. I mean come on...no Kris? No bike? It makes me so upset. Going by the pictures, pokegear is either gone or has been modified. Honey will probably replace headbutt trees. I want to like these games, believe me. So far, though, they seem horrible. Anyone else agree with me?
     
    If you want to play Gold and Silver again, go play it. This is a REMAKE, not a re-release. We haven't even gotten that many scans, and people are complaining already.
     
    where have you seen these "non-features" and how do you tell by the pictures that the pokegear is gone? no bike? as in no bicycle? i don't think nintendo would do that. i know there's no kris, that fills me with angst, but that's a bit minor.
     
    I was on pokebeach and purenintendo and it said no bike. As for the pokegear, look at his arm. Either that is more or less a poketch or a revamped pokegear.
     
    I've already said this once today, and I don't like saying it again:

    People are judging the games so much, but from what? A few small pieces of info and a handfull of screenshots? We still barely know anything about the game. At least wait until we have a decent amount of info before making a final judgement.

    I think it's a little too early for you to complain about the game.

    I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the game is barely made, and people complain about how much things they have taken out of the original. Alos, every generation of Pokémon has had a bike, so I doubt Nintendo would take it out and not tell us that. Whoever said that, is just plain retarded!

    So far, I like the new games, and I don't even remember who Kris is. Kris, as in, Krystal? Anyways, just stop complaining and wait until there's another issue of CoroCoro that gives us more detail.
     
    There is barely any information available on the web on these games and ALREADY people are whining? Good god......
     
    I for one want the poketch over the pokegear, as it is a remake, also, if they remove the bike they'll introduce a new way of transportation equally as good. I don't think they will remove the bike however, since it has been a game schematic for many important parts of all the games. Imo, it's a rumor that you fell for. I would also like to point out that this information was released less than a week ago and they still have a load of development for the Japanese version, let alone the American and European versions. So please hold your ponies on the slandering of our beloved remake, because there truly isn't anything to be angry at about the game yet.

    It amazes me how much people hate it from several shots. Like it or don't. You're not required to buy it.

    But think on the bright side. Even though Kris is gone, we have a new girl.

    Even if Kris is gone, she technically wasn't in Gold and Silver, so no loss there.
     
    I normally don't talk to members of PC like this, but Master_Z, people like you who constantly complain about everything instead waiting to see how things go first is the reason why this fanbase is turning to crap.

    Almost everyone spends 5 years hoping for remakes and GameFreak finally delivers. And what's the reactions? "NO!!! THERE NOT DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY!!!!"

    If you like Crystal so much that you now find the remakes horrible, then go download a Crystal ROM and play that. If you don't want to do that, then kindly, don't bother posting complaints that everyone has been hearing since this morning.

    Remember, GameFreak didn't have to do this. As long as the same core feel of G/S/C is in HGSS, then they've done their job. As far as I'm concerned, I accept Crystal's new redesign with open arms.

    I like the new detailed maps, I like it is not exactly as the original games.
    Now we can enjoy new features that we couldn't enjoy when GS were released.
    C'mon think it twice before making these stupid posts.
    After all, all those haters will be the first to play it :P
    If you don't like it, well stop looking for news about it.

    Ohhhh... I love you. I agree so much. I also find it interesting how defensive and devoted the pokemon community is. Feels like one big family with a stupid little brother.
     
    This is NOT a remake of Crystal, so if you want Kris so badly go get Crystal and sit down and be quiet. Kris wasn't in the original Gold/Silver. Yes neither was this girl, but that's why the introduce her. Be happy with what you get, they could just not have a girl like the original.

    Wait until the games are actually released before you decide all this information is 100% current.

    They have to be sexually fair, their hands are kind of tied, as they would receive a lot of crap for putting a female playable char in all the games since GS and not in the most recent.

    Excuse me, but I'm not the one whining here. I have not once complained about the remakes. I like the names and everything they have showed so far. It's irritating that everyone is insulting the new girl just because she's not Marina/Kris. These people need to get over it. If they miss her so much go to gamestop or whatever and get the game for $12. I'm satisfied and thankful that Nintendo is making this game. Most kids these days are so spoiled and they get upset over something just because it's not the way they want it. Too bad, Nintendo makes the rules. They do what they want. We're lucky that Japan is even letting us get these games. They could just keep it in Japan and not let us have it, but they are being nice and letting us have the remakes that we've all wanted.
