What's been going on? I usually pop back in every time there is a new major Pokemon game releases...but for some reason I didn't get active right before X & Y came out. I was in line at the midnight released and I've been loving the game, even though I haven't had that much time to play it.
I'm about halfway through the gyms right now and I've been loving the game a lot more than I though I would. Pokemon White 2 was sort of a disappointment to me, but I really shouldn't have looked at it as a new main series game...more like a Crystal, Emerald, or Platinum.
I love the new 3D aesthetic, and it feels like a natural evolution of the art style. The one thing about the battle though is they still feel very "close quarters". I think I was expecting something very Pokemon Stadium-esque...with a sense of a lot of space in the battles. The battle animations look fantastic though.
The rollerblades are a little annoying, I usually just end up running with the d-pad most of the time.
Anyway, I guess I'll just post another blog once I finish the game.
