Rotom is not a raindrop/teardrop. It's a lightbulb. we have some with a pointed top like that. Wormadam and Burmy are based on a bagworm or tentworm. Drowzee and Hypno are tapirs. Also, Bronzor seems closer to a coin, going from the sign on it's back, a wheat penny.
