I thought the BF Contest arc, with the exception of the mistakes of Squirtle and the Brock Contest, was pretty awesome.

Its why I liked May's contest more than Dawn's, May's always seemed to have a strong plotline going on between each Contest. Battle Frontier let us see plenty of Combusken kicking butt, Munchlax finally used in battle, Harley finally beating May, Harley forming an alliance with Team Rocket, a sudden death Contest with Jessie finally making it to the finals, Brianna who was a Drew fangirl, some Contestshipping, a really great Grand Festival, and they topped it off with a brief return of Beautilfy/Skitty and finally Combusken evolving into Blaziken. If you ignore the cheapness of the Brock Contest and Squirtle magically learning Ice beam, the rest of the Battle Frontier contest arc was pretty good.

The problem with Dawn's is all her rivals are pretty boring, and there's not really any sense of an ongoing plotline like there were with May's. I still think her Contests are good but I wish she got better rivals.

I loved the BF Contest arc. I mean the First time she used Eevee was jsut awesome. I loved the Saffron contest, but the filelr arc was a way to show more of Harley(<3). But yeah we need new contestants and new rivals.
 
Eh, I want another flmaboyant male rival like Harley. I mean let's say Kodama is a boy, I wouldn't want a Harley rehash(I can't think of a creepier outfit then the Cacturne jumpsuit.
 
Having another male coordinator can be good, but I fully rather have another female rival instead.
 
BTW, for all who saw the preview, you all know who is going to be evolving in the episodes going to shown next week. Also Kenny has a Breloom apparently.
 
Strange how Breloom appears, and yet another Pokémon evolves. Maybe the next appearance of Breloom heralds yet another evolution. XD

I wonder if Ambipom will be used in the battle round or the appeal round. Hmm... Ambipom vs. Breloom could be an exciting battle methinks.

Well we all know she is gonna use her, I just don't want Dawn to use Piplup or Pachirisu. I want to see Buneary actually get some screentime...
 
Ah... my thoughts exactly. I want Buneary to do the appeal round. The poor bunny's been shafted so bad and has done nothing impressive ever since the Jubilife Contest. =/

Worst part is she is a really strong pokemon. Pachi is I believe is weaker, but Dawn still uses her.

Ambipom just evolved. I doubt there will be too evolutions in one episode with one main charecter.

Well yeah she will...if Dawn ever really realizes how strong Buneary is.

Besides, after the first Gym Battle, you know it would happen eventually. Moral: never be a Pokemon of Hikari, or you won't end up being a fashion plate. Heh.
 
Oh, and as you can see from the picture... Buneary is obviously sitting out this one, as is all of Dawn's Pokémon. Could this mean Ambipom is going to be used for both appeal and battle rounds?

Well I think thats how any contest can be in Sinnoh. I mean Ash used Aipom for both rounds in Jubilife.
 
Didn't Dawn use Pachirisu for the appeal round in the Floaroma Contest and use Piplup in the battle round thereafter, where she defeated Kenny and his Prinplup in the final?

There's a possibility that Dawn's other Pokémon could still be part of the appeal round.

Yeah, maybe its Buneary. I am just saying it's a possiblity that she may only use Ambi.
