    okay guys help me out with this.

    1 Can you ONLY battle people that are registered on your pal pad?
    if so, do you have to have EACH OTHER registered to battle/trade each other?

    Yes, and yes. However the Battle tower has a Wi-Fi room that lets you download other players' teams off the internet, but the computer controls them, not the person themselves.

    yea lol i know that, I'm talking about if anyone made some homebrew thing people can access to battle with all the people online

    If you're talking about that then that's not directly related to D/P is it? I'm not very knowledgeable about that either, so I can't really say.
