So I'm at my grandma's, on a limited internet connection, so while here I decided to do some artwork. I started with an Arceus, but quickly ran into problems considering his bizarre and unique anatomy. So out of nowhere, I started drawing his skeleton to hopefully get a better idea of how to pose him. Then I got obsessed with drawing Pokemon skeletons and have been doing them for the past few days.
Necessary note: I really only have an amateur knowledge of anatomy, never having taken an actual class on the topic. I am likely clueless about any errors in structure that may seem obvious to experts. Also, I can only make minimal edits to these one they're done due to the complicated process of saving them. (I draw them in One Note to get a good vector lineart that is pressure sensetive, then transfer it to Illustrator, rasterize it at a high resolution (which usually freezes my computer), which gets a good picture, but mucks up some of the flair the in the linework, so I then Live Trace it which smooths out everything, and allows me to edit the shape of each line directly. Then I export it as a png and put the original drawing under it in photoshop, finally saving it as a final copy.) Editing the original drawing would require going through all the Illustrator detail work all over again.

Anatomical notes can be found at each pic's DA page. (Which also would allow a smaller view of each pic.)

I've got plans to do a few more, but only Pokemon whose anatomy proves unique in some way or another. For instance, doing Mightyena would be useless since it would pretty much just have an ordinary wolf skeleton. Among my to-do list are Lucario, Lugia, Rayquaza, Mewtwo, and Palkia. I doubt I'll get to all of them, but we'll see.
