    Introduction and history:
During October,2000 Hong Kong was being cut from the Pokemon cartoon and Movies. The problem was remained to be a mystery, since no one knows why they stopped showing. According to status, the TV station, TVB has bought more episodes then shown. The series stopped at the 67th episode of Indigo League. TVB was also known to be the first station in the world to show the English version of Pokemon, because it was TVB who translated Pokemon from Japanese to English, thus explains why HitmonCHAN and HitmonLEE got there names.

On the year 2004, another 2 Hong Kong TV station called ATV and i-cable bought over 100 episodes of Pokemon together, range from Orange Islands to Advanced Adventure. Because ATV put more money in the deposit, ATV shows first, starting from the 53th episode of Indigo League. (thus some episodes are repeated.). ATV showed Pokemon from 9th February,2004 to somewhat in March, then let i-cable to show it. I-cable showed Pokemon (the same episodes) until June.

After both ATV and I-cable finished showing 53 episodes (53th to 106th), no television company continued to show Pokemon, not even ATV TVB or I-cable.
A magazine reported that ATV will show Pokemon from 28th July,2004 to 9th Spetembet,2004, but ATV has claimed that the time estimated is now confirmed to be used to show Yu-Gi-Oh, and that no status show any of Hong Kong's TV companies are going to show Pokemon.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Questions and rumours:
Q: Why do all 3 TV companies of HKSAR buy more episodes then shown?
A: Rumours are everywhere. Before the showing of ATV, people once estimated that maybe TVB dropped or lost the episodes, or the script for the voice casts. But the same happened to ATV and I-cable again, so this cannot be true.
Some magazines reported that TVB is banned by Japan because of not showing the theme song in Cantonese, Hong Kong's official language.(They showed Japanese for Cantonese version, and English for English version) There is a law before signing up for Pokemon "Every country must have their own theme song in their own official language.". However, Taiwan shows Pokemon with Japanese theme song, so again this cannot be true. Besides, ATV showed Pokemon with a Cantonese theme song.
Some magazines and newspaper reported that TVB is banned because of buying English version illegally from the USA. However, this is not true. It is, in fact, USA ILLEGALLY ask Hong Kong to translate Pokemon from Japanese to English. And that the English version of Pokemon Indigo Leauge is, in fact a property of TVB. However, some Pokemon fans state that USA has a good bond with Japan, so although Japan is meant to ban both Hong Kong and USA, it chosed to not ban USA. This does not explain why ATV and I-cable can buy Pokemon afterwards. Afterall, ATV only showed Cantonese version. (Since Hong Kong stopped translating Pokemon to English, English versions other than Indigo League is USA's property, and that Hong Kong has no right to buy it or to show it.)

Therefore, none of the rumours can explain the banning of Hong Kong from cartoon series.

    Is Pokemon racist?
This is another question that bothers most Hong Kong Pokemon fans.
You might have noticed, that nearly everyone in the cartoon have similar skin colour.
And the other fact is, about "Politically Incorrect Pokemon", now all books in Hong Kong has to change "Unmentionable Pokemon J"'s face into purple.
Thirdly, has Japan actually restricted Hong Kong from showing Pokemon for particular reasons?
    Say tunned!

ATV said that it is NOT going to show Pokemon.
It is going to show Yu-Gi-Oh at that time.
    Which is changed recently.

So that means, Japan banned Hong Kong again, is the reason with the highest probability.

if im not mistaken the people of hong kong started thinking pokemon was racist when they got rid of brock (one of the few characters with a differant skin color) this could or could not be true, but it also explains why brock came back later.

    huh!? Really? Well, could be!

But I though Tracey has quite dark skin! ?_?

Oh well, it is always difficult to live in an international city. Everything has to be made sure that it does not offend anyone in the whole wide world.
Wait...they didn't ban Jynx though! (Though they edit all the books with Jynx, using Paint @_@||| Jynx looks really stupid after editing XD.)

Like that would do anything? it'd be like writing Kids WB and asking them to translate Electric Soldier Porygon without editing it.

    True...
We have sent many letters to TVB at first it stopped showing it, NONE of us get any replies.

Therefore, we are not spending time or money on sending letters this time.

DOWNLOAD EPISODES ON INTERNET! XDDD (Japanese versions, not Jynx-free! XDD)

    PHEW...another rumour/estimation from Magazine Co-co:
    "新寵物小精靈II
    Pocket Monsters Series 3
    (寵物小精靈第一百零六集至一百五十七集)
    播放日期:七月二十二日(星期四)至十月四日(星期一)
    播放時間:逢星期一至五下午4:30-5:00"
Translation: "New Pokemon II/ Pocket Monsters Series3 (Orange Islands 106~157 <--Johto Series I think)
Show date: 22th July to 4th October
    Time: Mon to Fri, 4:30-5:00pm
Unfortunately, Co-co was the magazine that said that ATV will be showin Pokemon from 28th June before, which was massively wrong.
So this time, can be wrong again!!!!

    Probability:50%

Bad: They are so far behind! (Behind Turkey. The Turkey government banned Pokemon for 3 years, but unbanned since 2003)
Good: That means Japan did not ban Hong Kong, and there fore chance of Pokemon being racist is reduced again.
