Sonic Rush or Shadow the hedgehog

Last I checked Vector led the chaotix, or at least back then he did.
god, why the hell does everyone think it sucks? YOU DONT NEED TO USE THE **** GUNS!.. well most of the time, but there ARE lasers and alien guns. Its at least worth renting, they added vehicles for good reason too, stuff like a jeep can be used to break through baracades, and thinks like that flying saucer and the black hawk are for flying, five different paths, Pure Hero, good, Neutral, dark, and Pure Evil. and maria appears in gameplay I saw a screenshot on the site with shadow holding a gun next to maria, it wasn't a cut-scene because the graphics are better in cut scenes.
anyways, I checked for it yesterday, almost no where had it, wal-mart was supposed to but they didn't, I didn't check today and I'm going back to wal mart tomorrow.
edit: **** wal-mart, its still not there and the guy said that they HQ will ship it whenever they want << luckily I'll do the order off EB thing, since I can get free 1 day shipping, its almost like buying it at wal-mart, 'cept I dont have to wait!

I'm getting shadow for the fact that it isn't just a shooter, as the guns are optional mostly, I acctually want to know shadows past because one of the endings is the true ending, because its quite inventive and the story goes deeper than it looks, I would be getting both if I had a DS, but I dont, though I'm going to see if I can get one for christmas.
 
Shadow, cuz it twists the genre, and it revolutions the series, besides, it looks cooler to me*faints*
 
Really it depends. If you want a good old-fashioned 2D/3D Sonic game with high speed action, get Sonic Rush. If you want a 3D action/adventure high speed game with excellent gameplay and partly a shooter that could last long (considering there are up to 10 different endings), get Shadow The Hedgehog.
 
hey someone acctually knows there are 10 ending contrary to the visible 5! good for you! and theres the fact that in shadow you get co-op play by stickining a second controller in, a second person can play as your partner ^^
I still vote shadow though =P just cause I can, and because it will last alot longer than some 2-D enviromental handheld
 
Shadow the Hedgehog, for one reason:
Sonic RUsh looks just like your regular 2D sonic game where all you do is press the right button on the d-pad to make him run through a million loops. (I'm not bad-mouthing the 2D sonics, although the nwer ones were stupid, all you did was run in a straight line)
Sonic Rush will proberbly only have about 7 zones and you'll complete in a day or somethin'. I don't wanna waste ?30 on that, plus Shadow the Hedgehog loosp pretty cool and open ended, weapons and the choice to be good or evil, I would definately part with my ?30 for that! XD

I'm going with Shadow the Hedgehog.Why?Because:

Shadow is my fav(well,second fav)male in Sonic.This game looks diffrent from any of the other games(personally,if there was an Amy game,I'd get it 8DDD)

Secondly,I like games where you can just shoot people outta the regular >D(my oopsy,I guess that reason had no meaning)

Lastly,I'd like to learn more about Shadow's past,and this game "claims"(I'm not sure until it comes out)to have more info on his past.

That's about it I guess:/

So you're saying the 3D games would be better if they didn't have a good story, and having little to no story makes the game better? The 3D games are MUCH better than the old 2D style, where your goal is the same thing over and over and over until the gameplay becomes dull. Zipping around a million loops isn't what makes a Sonic game.

So Shadow it is. I'm getting it tomorrow~
 
dont expect to get it tomorrow, I've been trying around for 3 days, and I know plenty of people online that cant find it anywhere, unless youve preordered it that is.
 
Depends on your location, and resources. I've called around and everyone just get their shipments in today.

Well I disagree. The main pull of Sonic back in the early nineties was that he could burst through levels at 100 miles an hour. That was his selling point.

Mario made a successful transition to 3D because his game style wasn't affected in the step up. The sense of speed and wanting to finish a level quickly just isn't there with 3D Sonic games, and this particular game just makes me cringe. The series has turned into some gaming anime cross-over.

I'm not one of those guys who dislikes change, but Sonic was a series that I think was best left 2D. Although all things considered it would've been impossible to keep things that way.

and PS: yes, having little to no story can make a game better. Some just don't need to be bogged-down with things like that.

they swear.... I doubt it otherwize the uk version wouldn't get a 12+ rating ??.

anyway.

Sonic rush has a story line. a new character that isn't some little wimp *coughamycough*
7 new emeralds to collect.
 
I'm guessing your just some shadow fanboy -_-;;
it has its faults, every game does, this one also has a glitchy camera, not as bad as SA2B though
