thats not it in my opinion,in fact i wouldn't be surprised if sonic wasn't in the next edition of SSB.

yes he will but probably not in SSB,and simply because he's a SEGA character,not a Nintendo one.​

Er, Nintendo get PERMISSION from SEGA to put Sonic in there. They put Sonic in because he was meant to come in Melee, but they didn't get a responce from SEGA fast enough. Also, many, many fans wanted Sonic in Brawl also.

People think that Shadow would be a clone but he would not if anything Knuckles would be more of a sonic clone than Shadow. Sonic = Punches; Shadow = Chaos Magic, so really Shadow should be the next Thrid party in the next SSB.
