Okay, first off, what happened to this being SIG of the week? And second off, what happened to the theme? You are allowed to disqualify entries, and I really think you should start doing so.

Hideous Strength gets my vote, for being one of two sigs that follow the theme that was given (not the theme that was misunderstood).

The theme is open to interpretation, and is based on the judges discretion. Just because your view doesn't match the sigs doesn't mean that they aren't valid.

Elysium has my vote, as it really is the most appealing to me, and the simplicity looks astonishing in a fantastic way.

Anyway voted for Emily. because "the layers have transparency" just cracked me up; even if you wouldn't be able to properly justify it as working in a class / work environment since you can't justify using Haruhi as part of your focal.

Who misunderstood the theme? When I chose the theme transparency I wanted the contestants to interpret the meaning for themselves. Not from the description that CME had made from her own interpretation of it.

Because 926 x 1162 is really a sig, you know, especially since an acceptable limit on any forum is roughly 500 x 500.

And then this would happen to be another case of confusion with the theme (let's take a step back a few weeks, back when I wasn't so damn irritated with this place, the DOGS one). So I read the theme based on what CME posted, and there's nothing that says it's open to interpretation. Maybe there should be so that I don't have to rip my hair out thinking you're all retarded. Instead of one simple witty sentence, a full (or at least descriptive) explanation of the theme should be provided.

Only one of those entries I really disliked and thought was way too big.
