I need to beat this team:

    Heracross
    Arcanine
    Meganium
    Alakazam
    Poliwrath
    Pidgeot

    My team so far is:

    Umbreon - 54
    Psychic
    Dark Pulse
    Quick Attack
    Faint Attack

    Gyarados - 55
    Ice Fang
    Thunder
    Hyper Beam
    Surf

    Jolteon - 42
    ThunderShock
    Quick Attack
    Double Kick
    Sand-Attack

    Typhlosion - 54
    Hidden Power
    Blast Burn
    Flamethrower
    Focus Punch

A few things: my pokemon are pretty low so some of them (especially Jolteon) don't have many good moves yet. I don't have any items on them, you can tell me what to put if you'd like. Tell me what moves to change (or add as they gain levels) and if you didn't notice i have two empty spots - please tell me what pokemon to put in my team!

    Thanks in advance.

From what I can see, you cover most of your opponent's pokemon except the Alakazam. Alakazam has beastly speed and relies on it to deal some serious damage, so if you want to take it out, you're either going to have to immobilize it with paralysis or prioritise your speed as a counter.

A good pokemon to do that would be Weavile; Dark Pulse will easily take care of Alakazam and Weavile is generally a much faster pokemon, so you'll have no problem taking it down via revenge killing. With it's devastating base attack, Crunch would also be extremely effective. Your Umbreon's special defense is already immense and could deal with the Alakazam on a level, so perhaps adding a ground/rock pokemon for more coverage against Pidgeot and Arcanine isn't a bad shout.

Heracross may cause you some problems depending on it's move-set but they are generally easy to deal with as long as you have a bulky flying type pokemon with a strong STAB move. Gliscor with Aerial Ace is a nice combination as it is resistant to Heracross' dual-typing and has a strong defense.

    I think you should maybe work on your pokemon's level and maybe teach your jolteon the move, thunder which has 120 power, its useful. good luck (;

To be honest, you have the right Pokémon to take on this team. By the looks of it, it seems you're battling Green the last Gym Leader in Kanto. If so, then just raise your levels some more and you should win with relative easy. Just use the type advantage you have and go in with full force. You don't necessarily need six Pokémon, because like I said you basically have all the right Pokémon so far. Just train some more.

Anyway, it seems you've gotten a decent bit of help. Other than that, in-game team help threads aren't allowed as far as the rules say.
