One of my other threads here changed enough that this could use it's own topic.

Is there a topic, board or section of the site that I missed where themes get previewed before being officially added or are regular members not allowed to see them at all? It would be very hypocritical for a site that has a lot of game hacking information to forbid people from editing, for their own use, how they view the site. Using "view source" in the browser doesn't help at all for that, I've had that problem with another site. I was only able to change the way it looks by editing a theme I got that someone else had already made for it.

Having access to the themes for editing would have less direct impact on other users than moving the location of the theme switcher. It would also help for when there are problems with the themes. Users could edit them to find out what the problem is instead of waiting around for someone else to fix it.

The more people who have the option to edit themes, the more likely each user will find or make one they really like.

There is a section for previewing themes, but in order to see it you have to be a supporter or Staff. As for being able to edit the themes to your own liking, that's pretty impossible with the VB software, since you have to have AdminCP access to edit the styles. (unless you meant if you could download, edit and use the style elsewhere, then I'm pretty sure that's not allowed, but you'd best take that up with the creator of the theme you want.)

And the point of this thread is what?

    I'm still lost

[PokeCommunity.com] Source of the themes for editing?

Sorry, were not releasing source code for themes. kthxbai

this would like going to google.com and asking them for source code to their site designs.. not gonna happen.
In the future, vB (the software that runs PC) may have some user-movable and/or selectable features (most likely only in the user profile pages) but until they do, what you see is what you get.
