Is it also against the rules for members to send unsolicited advertisements to other forums to us in our PM boxes? Because I just received one, and was wondering. I'm not trying to tattle or anything, so I won't say the "guy's" name, but I'd like to know, just the same.

No you can't send PMs with links to other forums. If you want you can just forward me the PM and I'll ask the member to stop.

Well... I already asked him to stop, but maybe it would mean more coming from a moderator. I don't want to get him banned, tho... -_-; I haven't been here long; I don't want to make any enemies...

Oh well. If it's against the rules, it's against the rules. I'll forward you the message. Thanks for your prompt reply!

    *Edit*
I know it's not my place to give you suggestions, but I have to ask that you be gentle with him. :( He might have sent me the link as a genuine offer of kindness, after all. And he Does have me on his friends list... -_-; I really don't want to make things too difficult for the guy.

Oh, that's okay. If ever you see someone advertising their forums through PM (unless you ask them for the link or something -- within reason, you know?), just tell a staff member. We're very lenient, so unless it's really obvious that the person only joined to spam links, then we'll just PM them a warning telling them it's not allowed and to stop. Nothing drastic. If it continues, though, that's when we take action. o.o

Yeah he won't get banned he will just get a warning.

I think that this has been answered.Just do what Lightning said and notify staff and it'll be taken care of.
