I have the Pokemon and the moves setup already, I just need to know what would be more useful? A Specialzard? Bellyzard?

A Special Sweeper could take down a lot of things with Charizard's insanely high Special Attack. Using Sunny Day to power up Flamethrower and having insta-charge Solar Beam/ with an extra slot to fill...

But it also has a high Speed which in conjuction with Substituteand Belly Drum and Earthquake, and FireFang/DragonClaw/Flamethrower(In case something goes completely wrong he'll still have an attack that takes advantage of Special Attack and STAB)

But I'm struggling to consider what to use. A Physical or Special.

A Physical in some cases could be much more useful but riskier, whereas a Special is safe yet not as powerful...

    Here's the move sets:

    Bellyzard
    Belly Drum
    Substitute
    Earthquake
    Fire Fang/Dragon Claw/Flamethrower

    Special Sweep
    Flamethrower
    Solarbeam
    Sunny Day
    Substitute/Something else.

    Help?

I'll say go with speacial sweeper. Bellyzard may be hard to pull off in this gen.

If you really want to go ahead with this moveset, iT'S your call.

    Special Sweep
    Flamethrower
    Solarbeam
    Sunny Day
    Substitute/Something else.

But I'll suggest a moveset for a speacial sweeping charizard.

    Flamethrower/Heat wave/Overheat
    Dragon pulse/Dragon rush
    Focus blast
    Air slash

yeah bellyzard is so much fail with (1) Focus Sash everywhere and (2) Roar/Whirlwind becoming more popular.

he's better as a mixed sweeper @ Choice Scarf for stopping other choice scarfers from sweeping your team (namely Heracross):

    Charizard @ Choice Scarf
    Hasty Nature
    -Flamethrower
    -Air Slash
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Earthquake

it's always quite safe to use air slash on the switch. steels, rocks and electrics resist it, but no one would switch a steel type into charizard and most rock types (if not all) have lower special defense. electrics perhaps wouldn't be switched in because most are aware that charizard has Earthquake, but i suppose that is situational.

    Wow, thanks.

I realize that the Hazers and PHazers(Roar/Whirlwind) is potentially a disaster for a Bellyzard, if something manages to outrun Charizard with Salac Berry and Max Speed EV's (Crobat, who resists EQ and could potentially outrun Charizard).

I'm probably going for the Special Sweep, but I might end up getting a Bellyzard too, and swap them around my team when necessary.
