Actually, Fire Blast would be a stupid move because either FB or FT takes two hits to down a Skarmory. Use FT. OH is too risky, because you'll be DDing and don't wanna risk the stat loss and have to switch out to restore it and lose the DD. And I'd do Lum over Liechi in case of WoW and Sleep.

Has anyone else noticed Salamence can't learn Overheat? Anyways, the type of Salamence I use doesn't need to be out first and most often I don't need to even use it. Its attack is pretty close to max, and its speed is just enough to get to 396. Thats enough to outrun speedy Pokemon, all but Deoxys-F, Electrode and Ninjask. Lum berry is there for status attackers.

My immediate choice for a mixed sweeper is Blaziken. But I'm not completely fond of mixed sweeping in the EV system. Dragonite works well - it can Sub-punch and bolt-beam at the same time!

Salamence + Flying Attack = Dead (NB anyways), no one I know uses it. Even though you get stab, Quake I believe is still stronger on an opponent who isn't weak to Flying. Same thing with Gyarados, I have seen more HP Rock ones then STAB types.
