((Ooc)) My post was four lines long... Or were you talking about Amy's?

Shade couldn't speak. She just stayed where she was, beside this stranger, needing all the comfort she could have. As day stretched across the Endless Plains, it ate away the darknes, and Shade's fear. She looked up at the mare, her deep eyes locking with the other horse's.

"She's d-dead...M-my mother, Gale, i-is gone..." Gale was a well known mare, rumored to be the faster than the wind. Shade had inherrited her mother's speed, as well as her kind nature. "The Two-Legs k-killed her....w-with loud grey ob...objects..." She said from behind her tears.

OOC: I think she meant mine. *feels guilty*

IC: With the coming of sunrise, all sound seemed to have stopped. Clovenhoof stared at the filly, at a loss for what to say.

"I'm sorry," she said finally, closing her eyes. "Gale was a... a great horse if ever I knew one." Every word seemed to bring her pain.

"But don't worry," she added gently, opening her eyes again. She realized that it was her responsibility to console Shade, and she couldn't if she was grieving herself. She gave the filly a warm smile.

"I'll take care of you," she said quietly, giving the filly another comforting nudge.

A smile shown through Shade's tears. "Alright," She said quietly, "But you never told me your name." She playfully nipped at the mare's tail, then jumped away, and stumbled. Hunger and thirst was beginning to catch up with Shade. Her long slender legs shook, as she struggled to stand.

"Clovenhoof," she said, smiling at the filly's playfulness but frowning when she noticed her weak physical state.

"You must be hungry!" said Clovenhoof, pawing the ground. "There's a pasture nearby, and a stream not far from it. It's a perfect grazing spot." She watched the filly closely, looking worried and concerned.

"Alright then, let's go!!" Shade said happily, bounding off in the direction Clovenhoof had pointed. At the word 'grazing' her spirits had risen again. She let out an excited whinny, leaping in the air. Clovenhoof was not far behind. If there was one talent Shade had besides playfulness, it was speed.

She reached the pasture in no time, and saw the stream not far from it. Rolling around on her back for a few minutes, she let reliefe spread over her. Here was food and water, here was someone to be her friend. Shade stood, lowering her head to the ground. Never had she tasted grass like this before.

Yamako's ears twitched at the sound of a young filly's whinney. Standing up and crouching down, she neared the edge of the cliff, where she first was, and licked her lips. 'Finally!!' She thought to herself excitedly. 'Food..' A little twinkle was showing in her eyes as she hid herself behind a nearby boulder to spy on the two horses.

OOC: Mmmmm.......Tastes like chicken!! XD X3 lmao
