"And why would I do that? the main thing that i want to do is see my intestines all over the floor, dinosaur or human" I growled, looking around for a sourse of cold water, and finding none to my dissapointment.

"Who said it'd be anything brutal? Spitec's guards use state of the art armor piercing slugs in their firearms, it'd be over in less than a second." I said, continuing. I didn't want her to die, but I couldn't convince her to change her mind at this point. If i could get her to agree to help us, that might stall enough time for me...

"Raptor claws are big enough to slice a person in two. Besides, I've already been shot before. didn't kill me, unfortunatly. stupid jerk was drunk..." I muttered incoherently, before sitting down on an un-occupied couch. "however, the idea of being able to slaughter and still get killed is appealing. You have my services, on one condition.. make that two."

"I'm listening." I said, relieved. If I could discourage her form killing herself, all the better. If I could convince her to help us, even if that meant taking herself out in the process, it was better than not having her help at all. The years of planning had made me a harder person...

"1, if i get shot, don't bother saving me if I'm still alive. 2, in the opportunity I go crazy in my raptor form, just deliver an electrical shock to me, instead of changing me back to human. I prefer my raptor form already" I said. It was weird, it was like the raptor was based off my own mind...

"Actually, that'll make things easier." I said, standing up and holding out my hand for her to shake. "You've got yourself a deal. I think it's time you aqquainted yourself with the others though.

I didn't bother shaking his hand, and instead said "I'd rather not. You're the guy I take orders from, that's all i really need to know" I didn't move, I was getting exausted from the warring my raptor form. The energy expended seemed to transfer over to my human form, and while the raptor could run all day, the human couldn't.

"what happened is.. not much really." I said with a yawn. "I'll probably be swinging by my pad to pick up some stuff tonight. better yet, I'll do it now" I said, moving off to the bathroom to get some cold water. If i was going to get there before the tempature dropped, I needed to move at a considerably high speed, and the raptor could move up to 60 miles per hour....

"Be careful, please." I said, though I was already heading over to Diana. "Are you all right?" I asked her, a joke already taking form in my mind. "A girl as fragile as you should be more careful, you might have done some serious damage to yourself." I said teasingly.

"You forget who has the gun." I stated coldly as I stood up, and slapped Robert across the face. I had learned to deal with his teasing in various ways, usually meaning I'd hurt Robert somehow in exchange, but I'd never go overboard.

I sat back up on the couch, twiddling with my necklace again. I had recieved it as a gift one day in the mail, but it never said from whom, though I always wore it. Dangling from it was a charm that looked like a cross.

"... Dino fact for ya: females are about one and a half bigger then the males in the carnivore species." I said, even though it wasn't directed at me. I had a tendency to comment when I shouldn't. This was probably one of those times, but at least soon I'd be out of here, if only temporarily...

"Chances are I'd be able to stun your wrist before you drew it, but let's change the subject." I said, turning around to face the TV, which Diana had turned to a cartoon, some anime sub called tokyo mew mew. "You know that all dubs are terrible, right?" i asked, sitting down on the couch. not form any intrest in the show, but because I had been tired out from all the commotion recently.

Once I got to the bathroom, I let some cold water drip onto my wrist, and withen moments, a raptor moved past Robert and the rest, heading for the door. I knew at this point there wouldn't be anybody around outdoors, so I would have the night to myself. Even though this would be a considerably short trip...

"Suuuure." I said, leaning back and putting my feet up on the table. Frankly, I didn't care about manners, I thought better in this position, and I had a lot of thinking to do if I ever wanted us to have a chance to stop Spitec.

FInally, i got outside, and lifted my head to sniff the night air. Without a sound, I took off, withen about a minute reaching my top speed of 60 miles per hour. It took a bit since I had to stop often to slip down a dark alley or climb over something, but finally i was out of the city, and heading towards the hollow i had been in for longer then I could remember...

I finally came to a stop, breathing hard, at a thicket of thorns that masked an entrance to a small cavern. I lowered my head, and using my scales to be able to ignore the thorns, headed inside.

"So, you like tokyo mew mew?" I asked out to Diana, knowing she could hear me. "Why is it so hard for you to admit it?" I asked, trying to get her angry, just to rile her up. I didn't get much joy out of life recently, and agrivating Diana were among the few I had.

"Leave me alone..." I sighed from inside the kitchen. I was cooking fried fish, something I ate often now for some reason. They were usually followed with french fries, but I wasn't in the mood today. "Just because I'm really a guy doesn't give you the right to bug me about things like this."

i managed to find my extra outfits, and after some more searching, a large backpack, that i had memorised the contents of. I pulled the items out of the cavern, and was about to load them onto my back, when I head a loud shriek, high pitched, female, and young. There was a river nearby, that had a considerably fast current, and it was in the direction the shriek came from. I bolted over, and I saw a young girl, probably only 7 or 8, trapped in the raging waters. Almost immediatly, I would have gone blank and attacked her, but I managed to hang on. This was none of my buisness, or so I told myself. Suddenly, something snapped in me, and before I was aware what was going on, I was in the water, managing to move using my claws aginst the bottom of the river. I nearly toppeled over as the girl was swept into me, but I held steady. Once I was sure I was not moving, I lowered myself slightly to let the current drift her onto my back, as i headed for the opposite shore, which was difficult because I was continuously telling my raptor mind that she wasn't food...

I hauled myself up onto the bank, sopping wet, and i let the girl slide herself off my back, and I could hear two adult human's calls. Knowing that she would be safe, I dove back into the water and struggled to the side of the river I was orrigonally on, and i emerged from the water half-frozen, the chill of the water having gone un-noticed during the panic. I shook myself, and moved back over to the outfits and backpack, carefully placing them on my back, and taking off, aiming to return to the house. I was near collapse in this form, and I knew I'd probably faint then instant I got back to a human form..

The unfortunate part about the trip home was that it had started raining, making me even colder, and it took everything i had to get back to the house, where i collapsed just inside the doorway, the rain coming off my body in a steady stream. I was thankful my backpack was water-proof..
