    Emerald, in Australia, comes out Thursday, and I have my team nearly completely planned out, save for one: Banette or Dusclops?

    So far, I don't have any Pokemon that can learn Thunder Bolt (I have already used Manectric on Sapphire, I don't like Plusle and Minun, and I don't use Kanto/Johto Pokemon in the Hoenn games). Also Banette has higher attack, special attack, and speed than Dusclops, so it looks like Banette.

    However, Dusclops has higher defences, lower speed, but can learn more attacks (Earthquake, Ice Beam). And plus it looks cooler than Banette, but it seems that Banette is getting the pick. What do other folk think?
     
    I like Banette. It has a good Sp.Attack and can learn better moves, than Dusclops. I don't really like Dusclops as well as many other annoyers/tanks. It's your decision. I suggest you to pick Banette. Banette did a good job for me and hopefully will do so to you, too if you pick him.
    Want a good moveset for it? Here's mine:
    Psychic
    Shadow Ball (for STAB)
    Thunderbolt
    Faint Attack
