    [PokeCommunity.com] Spotlight on... Chandelure!

Admittedly, Chandelure is not a personal favourite of mine, but after watching the important role it played in the Masters Grand Final at this year's World Championships I thought it deserved a spotlight! I played a few matches using it to take some screenshots and one thing that endeared it to me is it's cheeky little giggle - it changed my perspective of it's personality and makes me smile! It has some pretty neat move animations too!

What are your thoughts of the Luring Pokémon in Pokkén?

As you know, I'm not particularly fond of Chandelure... In fact, I'd go as far to say that she's in my top three least favorite Pokken Tournament characters. Chandelure is a Pokemon based on an inanimate object, a character that doesn't have many combos, and one known for projectile-spamming.

However, after spending the day practicing with the fiery ghost, I've come to the conclusion that Chandelure is not so bad. First off, she is a power-type character, and that is my favorite kind! Secondly, I love the way Hex (Down + A) works--it makes for some interesting strategies. Also, pendulum mode just looks awesome... The way it swings about is so eerie and childish, which perfectly captures Chandelure's personality!

Oh, and I found this one insane combo! Chandelure doesn't have many, but this one is just breath-taking... Midair Up + X (Hold) --> Jump (Forward) --> Midair A --> Midair Up + X (Forward) (Hold) --> Y Y. Sure, it's difficult to approach with Midair Up + X, but it's well worth it! I'll post some screenshots of me doing the combo tomorrow.

I think I'm going to really enjoy using the luring Pokemon in our upcoming tournament!

On a side note, what support set do you guys use with Chandelure? Since Chandelure is a powerful zoning character, I like to use Fennekin to keep my foes away!

EDIT: Here are some of those screenshots! I have pictures of the first, second, and fourth hit; I haven't managed to get the third one. It's hard to simultaneously hit the 'home' button while pressing up forward and A...

EDIT 2: Finally got that picture! :)

Glad you've had some fun with it! And thanks for those tips to use against you! {XD} I need to go to the Gym and Dojo to start practicing! Croagunk maybe? Stop your opponent from getting close?
