    Well?
    Any PC members speak German?
I am currently taking the class online (about one week into it).
It'd be nice if I knew anyone else who spoke the language.

The only language I know besides English is French, but I'm trying to pick up Hebrew.

    Je ne parle pas allemand!

Hebrew would be interesting to learn.
I want to take Russian and Latin, also.
    And perhaps Japanese.

I am currently not, but I am interested in getting Rosetta Stone and learning.

I am also taking French classes at school, and am contemplating on getting Rosetta Stone for French and Spanish as well.

Je parle francais, allemande, espagnol, anglais et italien. Mais je n'aime pas parle espagnol; c'est horrible!

Too lazy to put in accents, but... XD I'm self-teaching myself Italian, and our school, which was originally FOUNDED in Austria by Rudolf Steiner, doesn't have a German teacher. So I'm stuck with Spanish X_X

No offense to anyone who likes the language. I prefer Italian, German, and French over it though. And I do know it is the second most spoken language in America, but hey, I'm just not big on the language whatsoever.

It's only the second most spoken language because half of the American population jumped the border over here.
    -.-

And all we have at my school is Spanish, also.
    But I hated that class.
So I'm taking German, a language I am actually interested in.
    :D

I learnt German for two years at school, and both French and Latin for five. I also know a little Swedish, having been taught a little by my stepmother who lives there, and a little Japanese from a year or so of watching anime.

I'd like to, but I couldn't X_X The one year I had it, we really didn't learn too much, unfortunately. But that's 'cause some of the kids had been at that private school for eight years, and they started taking Spanish and German (without a choice) from first grade on, and I only joined in the 8th grade.

And my ancestors are from Germany and Austria XD

I hate German. Learning Japanese and teaching French is my thing ;D

I know a bit of German since i studied it in school for ~3 years. Although it has been a few year since i have actually studied it so i might be a bit rusty in that regard. However i found/find it alot easier than the other 2 languages i did (Spanish and French).

I'm taking Spanish right now. I'm not going on to well with it, so I may just stop taking it when I get to high school and start Chinese.

It is always nice to learn the oldest / most spoken language of the world.

    Oldest and least spoken?
    xD
    I want to learn Latin.

No German for me. I have taken Spanish and Hawaiian in middle school, and Japanese for two years in high school.

In my opinion, there's really no point in learning Japanese unless you plan on moving to Japan or Hawaii.. Learn a useful language, like Spanish or French.

On an unrelated note, I wish my school offered Russian or German. I now have to waste some time in college to learn it =/

    I am fluent in German.
Pretty much all I can say if I stay on the question of this topic..
If you need any help I can do that I guess..

German is the third official language in my country, so I had to learn it. Unfortunatelly enough, we started relatively late (5th grade of middle school) learning it, so I can't say I'm quite good at it. 1hour a week for two years, you can't say that helps you to learn a language. Although I know the basics, I think learning a language takes more than 50 minutes a week.
Weil Ich nicht so gut bin, habe Ich shön etwas gelernt. Deutch is nicht einfach, aber es ist toll zum lernen~
^probably has lots of mistakes in it. XD

I've learned French (the second official language of my country) and English (because it's an important Language) as well. And because I chose Latin, I know that as well...
But I'm afraid that now I'm in University, I'll loose a lot of my knowledge since I won't practice it anymore. D=

No I do not. But strangely enough, about 90% of my friends are either fluent in German or are learning it. Kind of strange. I wont learn German though, it is important enough. Right now, I am learning Spanish because I live in the U.S. and it's important. Next I will learn Mandarin because it is the most widely spoken language in the world. Never German though.
