i believe that the sprites from FR/LG are the same sprites as R/S... i think that's how the sprites go (not confirmed)

No, some appear to be different, like the Rattata in the screenshot in the '4th generation speculation' thread.
In the promo video, the caterpie and Squirtle look different too.
