Introduction
Star Wars Rise of Darth Revan is being created using the Star wars Knights of the old republic engine. It will require the game to be played.


What is it?
Star Wars Rise of Darth Revan is a TC Mod, this is short for Total conversion modification. Modifications is similar to Rom Hacking exept it is permitted by the games develpores and is much more adavnced becuase it requires you to generate custom scripts. *Modding may be similar to rom hacking but Kotor isn't a rom and you make most stuff rather than edit it so it won't be posted in the rom hacking section*

4 months have passed since the battle above Taris and Revan has reclaimed his title as Sith Lord by striking down his old apprentice on the STAR FORGES viewing platform. Now REVAN has took on a new apprentice, BASTILA SHAN, a
Jedi councler from the republic who learnt the will of the Dark side after endless tortures by DARTH MALAK on an unknown planet.

BASTILA's battle meditation has wiped out nearly half of the republic fleet as many systems continusly fall into the hands of DARTH REVAN and the sith.
The REPUBLIC are on the brink of extinction and have been forced to find refuge on a small planet beyond the outer rim where they train newley found Jedi's to wipe out the thriving sith threat...

A friend of mine loves KOTOR, he said he's not a fan of number 2. I think it was of the story or something.
I haven't looked much into the KOTOR mod community before. To what extent can you modify it?

The only PC game modding I have done is Halo PC(Making multiplayer maps and editing various weapons/vehicles etc), GTA 3 and SA.

Well all looks and sounds good so far. Can't wait for some more screens to see what you have changed.

You can change nearly everything, dialouge,skins,scripts,cutscenes,movies,weapons,party members, models, light side, darkside ect, but you cannot yet make maps but you can retexture them, add diffrent props, items, and characters on the map and also you can add buildings and transitions so its pretty much a new map.
Some of you might notice the screenshot above is from Janice's droid shop on Taris but im using it as a Sith shop on Coruscant since Taris and Coruscant are very much alike.

This looks amazing! I played KOTOR1&2, I always thought the second one was when you controlled Revan, but you didn't, although it was good, it just wasn't what I expected. From the screenshot, it looks like it will be really good.

It would've been awesome if you could make new maps. But none the less I'm sure you'll do just as good without new ones.

It isn't really important you can change everything on the maps. The types of doors it has, the transitions, the textures, the characters, the dialogs so it is pretty much a new map it just uses the original skeleton.

Also in some ways its more effective, for example Malak's flagship isn't destroyed in the series but its never seen again past KoToR I, so im using it as Revans flagship beacuse they both had the same ship during the Republics ambush, im just adding a few things into it.
