I'm in the planning phase of a game I want to make, that uses Pokemon mechanics for a unique experience, however, I still want to include a relationship system, where your "relationship points" go up by talking to that specific NPC, and giving them gifts. I'm not sure how to go about scripting such a system though, any help?

    Yes, like Pokeminer20 said.

A very basic relationship system could be achieved with Variables, and Switches.
Using Conditional Branches you can check if the player has spoken, or gifted the NPC today.
And use variables to track the relationship meter.
