1st Gen Starting the Journey Over

    I am starting Red over again this week, is anyone else starting over again soon or currently playing Red, Blue, or Yellow? What attracts you to the first generation, is it nostalgia, the graphics, the pokemon?
     
    The retro simplicity of them is charming.

    Graphics isn't the thing about Gen 1 imo. Rather that's the case for Gen 2. It's mostly nostalgia and the extreme simplicity of these games compared to the standard we're used to in Gen 6 and 7. And, really, any other gens I suppose hehe.

    When you start playing, you should make a thread using the Journal prefix and let us know your thoughts and team as you play :D
