3rd Gen Staryu Question

    So i know in order to catch a Staryu in Emerald you need to fish off the coast of Lilycove but i've been sitting there for atleast an hour with no luck. Could somebody please tell me if this Good rod i'm using will get it done or do i need the Super rod to Catch a Staryu?
     
    why not go ahead and try the super rod with the staryu?....that just might work....and if not,ya can't blaim me..I haven't played Emerald yet.....:\

    he doesnt have emerald richterb.i know,cause hes my pair xD
    any who,yeah,ya need super rod to get it.im about...90% sure.
