Steam Network User ID URL no longer valid

The https://steamcommunity.com/id/username URL gone to when clicking on a PC user's Steam ID postbit icon no longer works for linking to an actual profile (assuming it ever did before).

works fine here try mine..
if you're not getting a steam profile page when clicking on a users link, they may no longer be using that steam id.

That's strange because mine does not work when you click on it and it is my correct Steam account name.

IIRC you have to set the "ID" link in your steam profile - generic, numbered ones will never work as they use a different URL path.

under account profile settings look for:

Custom URL: https://steamcommunity.com/id/[textbox here]/ » A custom URL gives you an easy way to tell friends where to find your profile.

Okay, it works now, I suppose that's why most people's links go nowhere.
