Stickies in OC

    Why were the picture and MOTM threads unstuck in OC?
     
    Because a lot of mods went hysteric about way too many stickies there o.o;;;

    MOTM has always been sticky in there. DCC hasn't. <_<

    What might be a good idea is to keep the posting picture thread sticky, and the discussion one non-sticky.

    Do the same for MOTM.

    And unsticky DCC as well. It's active enough that it'll stay at the top. >>;

    DCC does not need to be a sticky, since it gains about... 20 pages a day? o_o

    When DCC was stickied, it was because it was nearly dead. Kept falling down. The sticky was to keep it up top so people would notice it.

    And? Even if it falls down, there's always a bad intentioned whose finds it~ =P

    We de-stickied MOTM as it's popularity has decreased and it's becoming less original (the questions are always the same etc.). People are still able to vote etc. but we didn't feel the need for it to remain strictly stickied.
    With DCC it's just out of handyness of having it at the top of OC since it's so popular and so that newbies will see that since it is stickied it's an important thread, and wont start making threads like "i had a hair cut today" once they read what DCC is for

    I wouldn't exactly call the picture threads important. They're just there so we can look at the members. What does it matter if it's unstickied or not? If it really is a good thread, itll still survive >>;
     
    I agree , maybe it can be acceptable about unsticking certain topics , but the picture topics are important and a great atraction to OC.

    True well they wont hopefuly die , but still i miss them.
     
    Discussion can go, that's popular enough.

    But the post one will disappear~ :(
     
    How about we leave the post thread stickied, and put a link in that thread to the discussion? I can't see the harm in leaving one up... >>

    It is already there on the first post post on the thread Greg made.Its says discussion is only for the Discussion thread and there is a link to it sames goes for the Discussion there is a link to the post thread.Leaving one link up is a great Idea.

    As Jkaizer said, lets have MOTM Votings Stickied or at the current pace new threads are popping up in OC MOTM will be pushed back to the last.

    Oh! & BTW I'm doing March MOTM and you can believe its gonna be dam creative with cool new Ideas about 30 Topics to vote. Claire, if you want I can show you the cool new topics. And Jan MOTM was pretty different with many new topics.

    I don't know why the picture discussion thread was ever stickied in the first place. :?

    But leaving the picture post / motm voting threads stuck, with the discussions linked would be fine I think.
     
    I think Greg is right, DCC will always be on the first page, even though being stickied helps me find it. If it falls down it can always be re-stickied I guess. The MotM voting should be stickied, cause NOBODY votes these days, but not the discussion IMO, and same for the pics.
