You are a 15 year old boy/girl.You were a trainee at Rocket Society Training Center. It is a training center for those who want to join Rocket Society. Rocket Society is a group that tries to stop Team Rocket. After finishing the one year training you will be a Rocket Society Grunt. You were very lucky because you were promoted to be a Field Leader, they gave you two grunts that will help you. You were given a set of three Pokemon (still deciding). Your missions are requests by Gym Leaders and simple Citizens. Your mission is to stop Team Rocket and not to be a Pokemon Master.
On the other side, your rival is also graduating from Team Rocket's training, he was also a Field Leader. You always stop all of his missions and gets on his way.

Spoiler:
- The game focusing on stopping Team Rocket instead of becoming a Pokemon master.
- No more gyms. Gym badges are given by leaders once you finish their request.
- There are a total of 5 HM's including Waterfall and 50 TM's.
