    Have you ever noticed how Pokemon turn up before their even invented?
    First up Ho-oh appears in the first episode even though it's a Johto Pokemon:

    And again with Lucario, Lucario is a Sinnoh Pokemon but there is a whole movie made about it in Pokemon Advanced or something.

    There are plenty more times when this happens so what do you think?
     
    Um...they were already invented? what else? o_o

    They were put there as a shout out to the next generation. o_o
     
    Yeah but still I think it's pretty strange. Especially Ho-oh. It's the same with Manaphy. There's a whole movie about it in Pokemon Advanced but it hasn't been invented yet- it's on of the last Pokemon on the list so far!
     
    As already stated above, they were clearly created before they appeared in the animé. They wouldn't have appeared at all if they weren't already created.
     
    same with munchlax or now zorua and zoroark appearing in DP movies... its for introducing the next gen.
     
    Or like Kecleon... It appeared before Ash had even got to Olivine City in Johto. (Or were they IN Olivine City?) Two of them in fact, a normal one and a purple one. (I think)
