Struggling Set

[Hortence The Salamence]

hello fellow Pokemens! i write you all tonight in search of guidance. I would consider myself a seasoned pokemon user in the first few generations (I-III, some of IV). And i recently started playing a new version called pokemon resolute.. This is a fan edited version of emerald containing some 4th gen and up to some 6th gen as well. As an old school user most of these pokemon are alien to me and currently i only have 2 badges and have run into a heck of time coming up with something to beat this electric gym im at. The leader has a hell of a set:

lvl 33 Eelektrik
lvl 36 Luxray
lvl 31 magneton
lvl 34 Emolga

Ive got:
lvl 30 Trapinch
lvl 31 Mienfoo
lvl 27 Haunter
lvl 27 Pawniard
lvl 29 Dewott
lvl 25 pikachu

now i normally run a lvl 35 swellow but in this case it's not very helpful, also have a Fennekin i could evolve and bring in at lvl 27ish with a psybeam but i havent come across too many pokemon that will help me.. maybe some sandshrews or a roggenrolla. but idk if its worth capturing one then training it till it learns a decent ground attack. so, help me???

You should probably try adding Trapinch to your team and see how that goes. Once it evolves into Flygon, I'm sure it'd be a great assist. For moves, you should consider Earthquake, Dragon Claw, U-Turn, and Stone Edge. I've used this set before, and Flygon was able to perform pretty decently with it. n_n" Hope this works out for you; good luck!
