Okay, so lately I got to the Elite 4, my first time round. I managed to kill the E4 but when I got to Lance, I just wasnt strong enough. My party consisted of a Lvl 55 Typhlosion, Level 48 Ho-oh, Level 35 Red Gyarados & 2 low lvl Pokemon. My pokemon were too weak, I had too few pokemon aswell.

Since then I thought of an Idea. Seems you cant get any level 40+ Pokemon yet [Wild Pokemon] I decided to get the low level pokemons that I wanted to raise to battle against Lance. I got Swinub, Lvl 24, a Flaffy level 15, hoping to turn into Ampharos and a level 15 Dratini from the Dragon Master in Blackthorn City.

Since they were all too low to take on Lance, I had to level them up to around level 45. I got bored trying to level them up on wild pokemon so I thought of an idea.

Hopefully this tactic will help if you have 2 Pokemon around level 45-55. Firstly make sure you get the EXP Share. You can get this from Mr.Pokemon, you give him the red scale off the red Gyarados. Once you get the EXP share, give it to a low level pokemon you want to level up. Visit your home and make your Mother hold all your cash.

Go to the Pokemon League and use your high level pokemons to kill the E4. Just keep doing this over and your Pokemon will level up and you wont lose much cash when all your pokemon die. The only cash you will lose will be some cash from the battles off the E4 members.

I havnt tried this tactic yet, Im just on Will at the mo. Killed his first 2 pokemon and my low level pokemon has 2 levels already.

I will post back after I have done this a few times and let you guys know if it worked well or not.

There are several ways to beat the elite four without grinding

You can only train three pokemon and have them at level 57 by the time your at the elite four

You can give them a lucky egg trade them to a different game and train them that way

Okay, first run through, my Flaffy went from level 15 to 26. I got as far as Karen.

EDIT: I got my Ampharos from 15 to level 42 in about 3 hours or so. Maybe 2 and a half.
