So I thought maybe I'd use this for a little more than just ranting about the little things on PC that irk me from now on (though there will probably be a post on things like that from time to time.
Introduction
My name is David, and I'm an 18 year old situated in the Middle of Nowhereland, Ontario, Canada. I'm currently attending a fifth year of high school in order to prolong my transition to a higher education, my reasons for this being that first and foremost, I slacked off last year and got lower-than-usual marks, and the second reason being that I have a bad habit of spending all my money... so I have very little. XD If you want an example of this, I bought a 40" LCD HDTV right after Christmas. Anyways, I work part-time at a Subway (Eat Fresh!) in the town closest to my home. I work there full-time in the summer, however. My hobbies, when I'm not actively hanging out with my friends, include video games, anime, manga, graphic design, roleplaying, and of course, lurking PC with the utmost gusto. But, I'll break down my explanations of these areas further so this isn't all one big blurb of all-over-the-place action.

So what the fack am I going to do with this blog?
You know, I'm not 100% sure yet. I may randomly post entries based on anime, music and stuff, with the odd PC-related post thrown in. I'm sure a use for this will become apparent later on, provided I don't start to neglect it. Someone poke me if I don't update in a while. XD

Video Games
Spoiler:
You could say I've been an avid gamer since I was a little kid, constantly playing Duck Hunt and Super Mario Brothers in my parent's bedroom. When the N64 came out, I graduated upwards to that, along with a PS1. With the last gen, I got the GameCube first (and put the most time into it at first), and the PS2 soon after. As I got older, however, my attention shifted from my GC to my PS2 as my gaming tastes became hooked on RPG games. Coincidentally, this love for RPG games is thanks to a GC game, Tales of Symphonia. If you want to argue with me about the best JRPG series, I will argue for Tales over Final Fantasy anytime. With the coming of this gen, I ended up getting the Wii the Christmas after launch, with high hopes for Twilight Princess and with Super Smash Brothers Brawl eventually on the way, I thought it would end up pretty solid. I was wrong. I ended up getting the Xbox 360 the year after, and it's currently my preferred console system for gaming. I also recently purchased a PS3, but until some more good games come out for it, I doubt I'll be giving it much use.
For hand helds, I also followed Nintendo, and I still do today. While I didn't like my original Gameboy at first, I eventually got hooked on my first Zelda game, Link's Awakening. It wasn't long after that I got a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow, my first exposure to the Pokemon series. Things continued on to the Gameboy Advance, where I think the only new Nintendo fandom that surfaced for me was Fire Emblem. The DS came along, and I've been using a DS Lite for almost all of my portable needs. I do have a PSP 2000, that I hacked, but there just isn't that much that appeals to me for it.

Anime
Spoiler:
I'd like to say I first got into anime with Pokemon, but that wasn't the case. As a matter of fact, I didn't even know what anime was until shortly before I joined PC. So... 2003 or so. Up until that point, I had favorited a few anime shows that I didn't even know where anime. Pokemon, Digimon, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, and Cardcaptor Sakura (yes, the bad dub) were these series. It wasn't until InuYasha's debut on Canadian TV that I began to get into anime as a whole. YTV, the station that airs anime here, began to pick up more anime like Gundam SEED and Witch Hunter Robin, and I began to watch them out of curiosity.
It wasn't until a little while later than I began to watch anime subbed. It was actually the PC member, Ryoutarou that first introduced me. My first subbed episode was of BLEACH, and I was fascinated by the series. Even to this day, I follow it. And... yeah. I watch anime that's pretty much all over the chart these days, as there are few genres I won't cover. I seem to mostly watch mecha though, while shounen and comedy are common in my tastes as well.

Manga
Spoiler:
We should make this clear now. I HATE READING. It's not that I don't enjoy a good book, but rather I don't have the patience to sit around and read. That's why it takes a really good manga to get me to follow it. Off the top of my head, a few that I'm currently following include: BLEACH, Dogs, and Deadman Wonderland. I'll post a more extensive list later on.
Graphics
Spoiler:
Why did I get into graphics? I like to make my sig look pretty. =D I started a couple of years ago, with some horrible products. I'm pretty sure this is my first banner. Yeaaah. XD Thankfully, with the help of friends and tutorials, and the use of better programs such as Photoshop CS3, I've improved significantly, although I still see myself as a novice as compared to some people. Sometimes I have a shop open in the Graphics & Photography form if you want to request, but I only do that when I know I'm going to have a lot of free time in the near future.
Roleplaying
Spoiler:
While I originally joined PC to partake in Pokemon related discussions and such, I was quickly sidetracked into the RPing aspect of the community. I can't remember what appealed to me about it exactly, but all I remember is that I was awesome (I also did some awesome fanfic writing on the side >:). Anyways, after a year of dedication and thankfully an improved way of speaking, I was modded in the RP forums. My reign as dictator of these lands seems to be forgotten in the sands of time, as I underwent many promotions and lost most of my authority there! Even to this day, however, I post in the RP's there, with one of, if not the longest running RP series on PC, Y.Z., being my own creation.
PC
Spoiler:
So I'm sure some of you wonder what I do here. I'm not active when it comes to mod work, since... we have mods to do that, but I am famous in the staff forums for my iron will in going against the majority in almost ever single decision that is made. One sided voting is just no fun. D= Well, outside of the staff forums I RP a lot, and I also maintain the Bishie Thread, one of PC's many claiming threads. I'm also rather infamous for changing my username often, usually to ones that get mixed reactions. Ah well, it's all fun in the end... Oh, I also bring all hell to those who don't know their place, so don't go causing mischief. >O
