I actually feel kind of stupid making this kind of post but....I need help, badly.

I got Emerald a while back and I have been trying to make a kick-butt team, but the thing is, I am no good with the new pokemon. I don't know what it is with the pokemon in this game but no matter how hard I try to make a team, it always backfires somewhere and I end up restarting my game over and over. An example of a team I attempted to make (as I remember)

    Blaziken
    Naughty Nature
    -Aerial Ace
    -Flamethrower
    -Double Kick
    -Bulk Up

    Gardevoir
    Calm Nature
    -Psychic
    -Calm Mind
    -Shadow Ball
    -Thunderbolt

Those 2 kind of seemed okay, but those are the only two I've actually been able to make good use of, all of my other team members suck and I've only made it as far as Winona, and then thats where everythings seems to slip away.

I really don't want to sound like a noob, I've been playing since R/B/Y, but I have never had problems like this. I can throw out some really good LG/FR teams, but for Emerald, I got no idea what the heck I am doing. Please help me.

Well... I bred and EV trained a really kick-butt Blaziken on my Emerald but assuming you can't replace them, I have this to suggest for those two:

    Blaziken
    -Brick Break/Sky Uppercut
    -Flamethrower/Overheat
    -Swords Dance
    -Focus Energy

    Gardevoir
    -Psychic
    -Calm Mind
    - (don't use Shadow Ball. It's goes from Gardevoir's Attack and not its special attack.)
    -Thunderbolt

Sucky as that is, that's the best I can give you. ^^;; But if you are willing to breed and EV train replacements then I can give you much better suggestions:

    Blaziken:
    Adamant/Jolly nature
    Endure
    Reversal
    Overheat
    Sky Uppercut/Swords Dance/Brick Break/Bulk up
(Max out Speed and Attack evs. Use with a B-passing Ninjask if you like. Pass swords dances and speed boosts.)

    Gardevoir
    Modest Nature
    Psychic
    Thunderbolt
    Calm Mind
Imprison/Destiny Bond (If your Gardevoir is female and you breed it with a Wobbufett)

Not so good for competitive play but should do nicely for ingame battles.
