Yeah, I'd have to say that this thread is pretty stupid overall. Every Professor in every Generation (except maybe Elm who seemed more interested in Eggs then fulfilling the PokeDex) has sent you out on a mission to complete the PokeDex. So can't really pick out that as something stupid in only Diamond/Pearl.
I'd prefer if people focused on the positives of the game rather than constantly nitpick about the negative stuff in the games.
