    If someone has an image that's too big in their sig, or something like that, it would be more polite just to remove all traces of it instead saying that it's too big or whatever, until the person realizes it's there. It's like walking around with toilet paper stuck to their shoe.

    If all traces were removed, how would they know it was too big? Oo
    Also, if they don't notice, it's their fault, and it was just a small mistake on their part in the first place, it's not like a huge embarassing thing where they all go "OMG! My sig was too big, everyone's gonna think I'm stupid!"

    We usually don't do that for many reasons. The big one being the user might lose their picture URL or something. The second one, they need to know that they did breech the size.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't staff just erase the img tags?

    Anyway, it's not that big of a deal. <_<;

    I believe that was how it originally worked, but if that person's PM box was full, then their signature would basically be lost.

    If you want my honest opinion however... it's that person's fault for not checking their signature by the rules.

    If the person breaks the image rule, we remove the image tags and leave a note incase people start wondering why their images have disappeared. People don't, unfortunately, always check their pms (there's been times before where i've requested for them to reduce their signatures, but have ignored the pm) so at least this way it's shown.
    They broke the rules so it was their responsibility ^^;
    They can remove that from their signature as soon as they are aware of it, so it just makes things easier for us and them.

    That sounds like the most logical thing to do...

    Claire, your usertitle/rank/etc. is impossible to read on the Haruka layout. XD </OT>

    Ty, I thought PMs from staff got through anyway. o_0;;;

    Only admins... I think. o.O; The only real reason I used the PM system for was to send warnings, and most of the people I warned were fairly new, so their PM boxes couldn't have been anywhere near full.
