hey, i'm MDL, nice to meet you.

I'm an 18 year old guy who finished 6th form this year.


In my spare time i listen to music, play video games, read manga, make amvs, or write my novel.


i've been hooked on pokemon ever since i saw the dubbed anime when i was little.

i played the trading card game with my brother all the time, and i still have a shoebox in my attic full of the figurines.

i used to own almost every game until my mother gave a lot of them away without my consent -___-

although thankfully i still own red, sapphire, emerald, leafgreen, r/s pinball, colosseum, gale of darkness, platinum, and soulsilver.


I'm currently addicted to SoulSilver, grinding my levels for now at Mt Silver before mounting the second elite 4 challenge.


Current Team:

- Haunter lvl 55: Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Mean Look, Psychic
- Typhlosion lvl 55: Flamethrower, Double-Edge, Strength, Blast Burn
- Golem lvl 55: Stone Edge, Rock Smash, Rock Climb, Magnitude
- Magneton lvl 55: Discharge, Thunder, Flash, Gyro Ball
- Gyarados lvl 55: Surf, Whirlpool, Waterfall, Ice Fang
- Dragonite lvl 55: Dragon Rush, Shock Wave, Aqua Tail, Dragon Pulse

^ my team isn't quite complete, i need to trade-evolve haunter into gengar, and i need to obtain draco meteor for dragonite along with thunderpunch to replace shock wave.



Anyways, i've been a forum-goer for nearly 5 years, and i'm a mod on 3 other sites.


I seem to make friends wherever i go, so i hope this trend continues.


I hope to enjoy myself here and meet some cool people.

and my novel idea:

It's the end of the world, and two teenagers run into what seems like a nuclear bunker to hide, but it's actually part of a spaceship.

the ship belongs to a band of space mercenaries, and the story centres around the two teens working as chore-hands on the ship while they await suitable re-location.

it's all about "finding the place you belong", and the trust between the two main characters.

You managed to get all of your team to 55? That's pretty awesome. XD Oh and that's a pretty good novel idea. :D By the way, just so you know, dunno about other sites, but you can't ask to be a mod here, so yeah. XD; Enjoy PC, though~

thanks guys, i feel a very good vibe from this site.

when i used to think of pokemon fans, i always pictured snarling fanboys and idiotic flame wars, which put me off joining pokemon sites for years.

but i'm really impressed so far, this place really does feel like a welcoming community :D
