Hi-low and welcome to Super Hero Time: A Super Sentai/Kamen Rider official fanclub! This is for those Sentai/KR fans who want to join on a Pokemon forum.
EXPLANATIONS:
Super Sentai. A long-running 31 year old franchise which has been one of the prominent tokusatsu franchises in its history. Usually its stories have 5 youths defending against evil, with character development and an auxillary member thrown in halfway through the series, which is 50 episodes on average. In 1992, the year's series Kyoryuu Sentai ZyuRanger and future series after it the become the Power Rangers series, which was produced in the US by cutting action footage from Sentai with story sequences developed on its own. It has been popular worldwide, just as Super Sentai has been.
Kamen Rider. Another long-running 36 year old franchise which usually involves a man who was cybernetically enhanced by the villain organization, then escaping from the organization to defeat it from destroying a certain thing. It usually has a few new riders thrown in every few episodes to help the main hero. It also is aired 30 minutes after the Super Sentai Series of the year. It too has been americanized, as Saban's Masked Rider and Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. It too has been popular worldwide, as just like Super Sentai has been aired in foreign countries as well as the US, maybe to get more viewers.
They both have movies, they are from Japan, they have been americanized and they are (too sum it up in one word) FASCINATING!
So join now... if you want to.
