    The wait is over!

    [PokeCommunity.com] Super Mario Galaxy

After a long wait, us North Amreican Wiinies have finaly received the gift of Game God Shigeru Miyamoto's master piece, Super Mario Galaxy. Postponed 1 day due to an american holiday, the game was released on November the 13th, and let me tell you...the game doesn't disappoint.

I've had my reservations for 2 months, so in turn of the hour, I suffered a heart attack. So let me bevest you with a reveiw of the most anticipated game before Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

    Graphics:

Your eyes do not deceive you...theese are actual in game graphics. Due to the Wii's inferior graphics capacity in comparison to the 360 or the PS3, the game is accompanied with a free upgrade that must be installed before game play. The worlds are both mesmerizing and dizzying, so it is recomended to light up a roach for maximum enjoyment...lulz....

    9.5 outta 10

    Audio:
Sweet Caroline....bum bum bum....nah...the song isn't in there....but it's audio is some of the best you can find in the Wii. Nuff said

    10 outta 10

    Controls:
It's your less than standard platformer...Therefore controls have to be tight and responsiveto make the game easier.

The new feature to the game is the star bits. Point your wiimote to the screen, and press B...then presto....you fired off a projectile! This comes in really handy when the area your manuvering in is multi faceted....one star bit and they are stunned....then give em a swift boot to that nether region than bob's your uncle, robert's your father's brother he gone......

There is also a spin feature in which you shake the control. Devil ray surfing is also awesome...take a guess on how you surf there.

For a game that changes it's dimensions on the fly, the controls handle excelently. There are times where the handeling of mario becomes disorientating and misleading, this is my main issue with the controls, but this is quickly set aside due to the fun nature of this game.

    Game Play:
The only thing that truely matters.....it's the game itself. And let me tell you....there is no better fun than this game. I have played Resistance...I have played Halo 3...but none come close to the enjoyment I found playing the single player campaign of Mario Galaxy.

It's your standard...."Bowser kidnaps Peach, Mario saves the world" but now Bowser has decided to play god and recreate the Big Bang(No this is not a sex joke). Bowser has created a new galaxy, in which he had to steal the shining stars from the lumas to do it.

Mario sports many new augmentations....which include Boo Mario (No I'm not hatin' on him) and Bee Mario(I never said Mario was a straight A student)

The planets are also bizzare. Gameplay is on constant change do to theese small planets, so people wont find themselves in a rut. I personaly found enjoyment of the Pill maze planet in the 1st Galaxy which uses gravity as it's puzzle. You can not expect to be in a dull rut as new surprises lie just around that hemisphere.

The game also offers Co-Op...but since I haven't tried it myself...I couldn't give you guys an honest overview of that aspect.

This game is incredibly deep as well...such as other 3D Mario games, you have the option of pursuing all the stars, or just blasting through it. I'm only through with 2 of the galaxies on the Terrace observatory...but it has taken me about 4 hours to get through. You definitly get more for your money here.

The enemies are still thoose loveable goombas and pirana plants we have been raised on....but new enemies have made it so you need to use every aspect of the wiimote to ensure a victory for yourself.

    10 outta 10

Overall review....I loved this game....and Miyamoto fans will not be disappointed. In my Opinion....this game has made a serious stride for Game of the year. It is a must have for all Wiinies.

    HELL YEAH!!!!!!!

I got the game yesterday, the controls were so surprizingly tight, gameplay is amazing, & it really takes you back to the roots of Super Mario 64, how revolutionary that was.

However, I have two minor gripes. The camera, while awesome, can sometimes work against you. Its not bad, but there are times when I say "I want it at this angle", but it seems the game is saying "nope, I say THIS angle is better!" Better camera control would have been nice.

Also, I bust my butt to get those 57 lives. I save, turn the game off, turn it back on, WTF? Where are my lives?!

Still, these are minor quirps to a truly amazing game. I'd give it a 4.5 Out of 5

    SPOILER ALERT

    Spoiler:

So far, I have 68 Stars, & am more than ready to face Bowser. Not yet, though. Lemme beat this galaxy first.

The wait is not over. I'll get it in Christmas. =/

Anyway, this seems to be a very cool game, even if I didn't like Mario 64 as much as I thought I would. But Mario is Mario, so I should have fun with it.

    Spoiler:

    HELL YEAH!!!!!!!
    Spoiler:

    How did you get luigi?

    I tired but no good.

NOOOOO! PUT IT IN A SPOILER!

    Spoiler:

Oh, & if I can go offtopic for a sec, I think Flygon has green eyes.

Finally got my hands on the copy of Galaxy that I preordered. (my mom wouldnt let me play it til the weekend...dumb school and whatnot getting in the way). Its defenitely the best game in the 3D Mario series, its amazingly addicting and extremely fun. And the boss battles werent half bad. I currently have 54 stars, and my favorite boss (aside from the last Bowser fight) has to be Bouldergeist. Though he was uber hard in Daredevil mode...>_>

So, anyone else out there get the game?

well i was thinkin of getting a wii but witch game sould i get super msrio galaxy or metroid 3?

I got this game today, and its controls are AWESOME. I'm glad I bugged my parents enough to let them buy me this. ^.^

and now I wait for Brawl

What the heck? I'm on Galaxy One xD

    Spoiler:

That update isn't really an update. It's something Nintendo's including with all their bigname titles (Metroid had it too). I thik it really just checks if the disc is legit.

Anyway, going to merge this with the other SMG thread.

I don't know. As of right now it's not really on my buy list. Maybe when it goes down in price. I'm not the type of person who believes in ratings and follows hype, so all of the positive reviews don't really do much for me. And really, it doesn't look especially remarkable to me.

Well, being a "Wiinie," I haven't experienced a good game on it since the (epic BTW) Super Paper Mario. To be honest, I wasn't too excited about the whole idea of flying from planet to planet, but I've beaten both Pits of 100 Trials on SPM and needed a new challenge.

If you do buy it, you'll surely love it ;) I'm pretty terrible at Mario games, I still have single digit stars while sims over there is killing Bowser lol. But it really is fantastic. It uses the remote very well and the controls are solid.

I'm playing it now...while watching the Lions football game AND typing here. lol

Actually, I beat it-all 120 stars in three sleepless days.

    SPOILER ALERT
    Spoiler:

The wait is not over. I'll get it in Christmas. =/

Anyway, this seems to be a very cool game, even if I didn't like Mario 64 as much as I thought I would. But Mario is Mario, so I should have fun with it.

    Spoiler:

yeah since i just got my wii yesterday i'm not getting any games till christmas too, I really want this 1 since i've played the demo at Gamestop and FE10, also SSBB when it comes out so yeah I still have to wait :(

I was wondering if I should get the game...

I was wondering if I should get the game...

    ...

Yeah. Depends. Like, if you really don't want to waste your money on the best game on the Wii yet, then I guess you should still got out and get it. :D

Me, I got it on Europe's release date. I guess the first few galaxies were just a bit boring and the controls took some time to master, but it got progressively more awesome.

    Spoiler:

The first galaxies are actually quite fun playing the first boss battle (which is kinda easy :P). but yeah, it only gets funner. I have only 12 stars now, so the fun is still ahead. Though I failed that surfing galaxy about 100,000 times lol, I kept falling off the edge :0
